@navyseal31 In reality if you have ever been heavy into circuit racing (taking your own car to races, tuning it and modifying it etc) the best drivetrain configuration is RWD. Any car can be modified to take out an STI around a road course, but the STI can also be modified to come out on top again. It's a pointless battle.

@navyseal31 Older Corvette are not very fast (except the old 427 models from the '60s) until the LS1 came about. LS1 is a very stout and mod-able engine. STI will need a good bit of mods to trap (trap speed, not ET) the same as a 6 speed LS1 Corvette.

1:Camaro cannot out corner an STi. If you were able to out corner one, then the STi driver was a moron.
2:My Legacy L was able to punish a V6 Camaro around street corners so I KNOW that an STi can carve them around a V8 Camaro.
3:A well tuned STi will keep up with any car you just mentioned in the corners. Just TRY not oversteering one of those cars you just mentioned.

@navyseal31 In reality if you have ever been heavy into circuit racing (taking your own car to races, tuning it and modifying it etc) the best drivetrain configuration is RWD. Any car can be modified to take out an STI around a road course, but the STI can also be modified to come out on top again. It's a pointless battle.

@navyseal31 Older Corvette are not very fast (except the old 427 models from the '60s) until the LS1 came about. LS1 is a very stout and mod-able engine. STI will need a good bit of mods to trap (trap speed, not ET) the same as a 6 speed LS1 Corvette.
