it sucks, you do some crazy progressive shit, i cant do any of that stuff in my band, if i do i feel like im forcing something thats not supposed to be there. i envy you man :*(
this is the kind of deep music that i love to listen to and write. but i cant seem to find the track anywhere......can u please help so i can meditate to greatness?
What is the 18" DRK Flat Ride like (as both a crash and a regular ride)? I am planning on getting one because I don't like the wash on my current ride and like the idea of a much darker sound, also my current side sounds terrible when I crash it.
Digging that snare! I love how much sensitivity it has despite the massive depth and body. Probably my favourite snare sound in any of your videos, and you ALWAYS have awesome snare sounds!
I don't understand what you're doing. You're not covering a song, right? But you're also not recording a drum track for all these different bands. Someone fill me in?
@PisolMan I think but i'm not sure, that many people ask Travis to take part in their projects as an "expert guest" for the composition/improvement of drum parts sometimes already programmed/written. These projects are often not achieved but for example, he's the drummer on the Cyclamen album coming soon, on the Andy Gruhin or SEA EPs too.
Travis seems to be focused a lot on studio drumming and it can be hard to find a band he really belongs to, strictly speaking... except SEA maybe.
@PisolMan No, I am (the latter); this will be featured on a unique EP following Cyclamen's 'Senjyu' release. The backing track is from the actual album but sans drums.
I really enjoyed the syncopation and metric modulation you did on this one. Some interesting polyrhythmic textures as well, excellent work. I have to say that I enjoyed this more than some of your insanely spastic work!
@kshayk0 Will you use your brain for a second? I didn't say it's "technically" difficult. Of cours it isn't! Duh?! It's MUSICALLY challenging, because it requires using means of expression that won't distruct from the flow of the piece.
You have to keep it simple but at the same time you gotta somehow make it sound original and not generic.
TASTEFULNESS is the word, kid.
It is way more difficult to make a piece like this one sound special than what Travis usually plays sound spectacular.
One of my favorite songs on the album. Awesome work Travis.

@IAmJamesRoy Craviotto 8x14 ash; I also utilized it on the SEA EP on a tune called "Motion Sickness."

Love it! I think Cyclamen really meets your style.
This kind of "minimalist" song is full of emotions, I can't help turning the sound up and just "loudly" feeling this dramatic atmosphere.
Please, carry on doing this great job with Hayato-san.

@kshayk0 I think @amjan was being sarcastically impolite. Besides, people don't call @mooktank aka Pete Peterson a retard just like that haha.
