Beaver couples stay together all their lives, and older siblings take part in looking after/ caring for younger or newborn siblings. That makes them special, amongst other features.

The reason species fit the niches they do so perfectly is because offspring that didn't have the genes or instincts THEY do, did not survive to procreate (life is competitive as hell!). Ipso-facto those that DID have genes for camoulflage, nest-building, hunting etc, survived. It's up to you what you wanna believe in, but you're in no position to deny what others have taken the trouble to study and seek evidence for if you haven't.
