  • MUCHAS MUCHAS GRACIAS!!!!

  • sooooooo much funkier in falseto

  • I know very well the origin of this recording. It was recorded by Julian Ruiz (spanish radio presenter) in 1992 during an interview with Bono while they were turing their Zootv Outside broadcast in the USA. I remember that bono said he wrote the song for someone else to sing it, that´s why he sings it in falseto.

Later on when Julian Ruiz presented Zooropa on the radio he regreated that Bono changed the falseto voice and the faster tempo for the flater and slower version.

  • How many bands today and how many of us would have been more than satisfied with the very forgettable guitar riff here? Thank god Edge and the rest keep pushing and don't stop at just 'good'.

  • Amazing

  • beautiful

  • The guitar chords here are very reminiscent of Lou Reed's "Sweet Jane." I'm glad that the studio recording of "The First Time" use more subtle, muted piano instead.

  • Brilliant !
