Another one of the greatest players to ever step foot on the court. There was only one Walt Frazier. He had style like no other always cool and calm and with moves like buttlr. A thing of beauty and grace to watch. Man walt you have no idea of the influence you had on young ball players. You have so much to be proud of.
I am 51 years old. Walt Frazier was my HERO. I wore puma's, wore #10, and tried to shoot just like him. There is no doubt this man was the smoothest basketball player that ever lived. It looked like he was floating up and down the court. He is also an excellent role model. I would die if i ever had the opportunity to meet him....
@johnboyd1959 i've met, shook hands w/ him several times, & gotten his autograph in the 1970's. a real, cool gentleman. great dresser. i miss him playing. enjoy.****
Some point guards have had better numbers then Clyde but I would only take Magic ahead of him in a big game Went to his bb camp in 1975 and still admire him on and off the court.
He played in a segregated high schools in Atlanta that only recognized white ones by media. You talk to old-timers who went to school with him, they mentioned that there were a lot of players from David T. Howard who were better than him but so many of them would cut class making themselves ineligible.
Walt Frazier and Earl THE PEARL Monroe... Two of the turly great player-leaders of sport! I loved those guys back n the day, too, Ali... Big up and Much Reeee-SPECT! :>)
I'll be damn if I didn't want to BE this man back during the early 70's when I attended High School. I was a huge Knick fan at that time, and "Clyde" was the epitome of everything I aspired to be as an adult; Cool, Successful, and having the inate ability to always keep my emotions in check when situations required it. He was a fabulous ballplayer, and for me personally, an even better role model.
