Sometimes animals just become extinct..What happen to the all the animals that were on the earth before humans? We didn't kill them off..nature took its course. Global warming doesn't just stop snow, it also brings it.
Three years ago an before, the most we had of snow was 2 day's worth here in Scotland. The last two years, not including this one, we've had so much snow that motorways were jammed, and we didn't have enough grit. It even snowed in May. This year, it returned to its two-day snow-cycle.
We still have no snow for the winter this year, it is almost the end of december 2011.. this is ridiculous.. usually the temperature goes down to -10 around this time.
The most surprising fact is that the earth goes through warming and cooling periods about every 10,000 years. Hence the ice age that occurred around 10,000 years ago. The earth is just going through a warmer period and will be followed by a cooling period, and the process will repeat.

Three years ago an before, the most we had of snow was 2 day's worth here in Scotland. The last two years, not including this one, we've had so much snow that motorways were jammed, and we didn't have enough grit. It even snowed in May. This year, it returned to its two-day snow-cycle.

The most surprising fact is that the earth goes through warming and cooling periods about every 10,000 years. Hence the ice age that occurred around 10,000 years ago. The earth is just going through a warmer period and will be followed by a cooling period, and the process will repeat.

@gortijx i don't think any part of the warming trend of the 20th c. was man-made (and 30 000 scientists have signed a petition which agrees with that statement). Either way, the warming trend is definitely over and a cooling trend has begun.
At the *very least* we're looking at something similiar to the Maunder Minimum, starting this decade and hitting a nadir within the next 30 years. That means less vegetation which ultimately means less food....I'm talking global famine.

This will get worse over there and you will see bizarre temps in North America as a result, which is happening. Check the temps in Los Angelos for the months of Dec and Jan and you will see why this is happening. Fracking can and has caused massive damage already which you can find stories of. There are pictures of the ozone layer showing aparent weak spots that have never been there before, and that have increased in size since earlier pictures were taken. Not to mention polar bears are swimming 20% longer now.

Scientists put tracking chips on polar bears and explained how over the course of 6 years polar bears had to swim 20% more - this has never happened before.
