Hi my friend, im a MODOK player too, and i learned all i need with your Science combo video.

I thought that was too dificult to do Hyper Battering Ram Loops, but i was wrong.

Today, im doing 90 percent fo your Science combo video, including Hyper Battering Ram Loops and Aerial Exchange Combos too.

The most dificult is practice the ROM, i have not been able to do that.

Do a raw launcher instead of the s.H in that Sentinel relaunch combo at 4:25. The s.H causes horrible scaling.

@dren129 You're right about the scaling! I actually put the s.H in there because Thor kept dying too early, and I wanted to get the perfect number of hits/damage so that he would die on the final blaster. (I'm pretty picky about them dying on a particular hit haha)

i am of the opinion that there are few characters i want to see second LESS than a talented MODOK. his TAC abilities are absolutely silly, and his pressure on cornered characters is disgusting. despite lacking strength in certain areas (poor mobility, not great normals, gets outzoned by better zoners easily), he can more than make up for it when executed well.

@C3lticlord It's mainly because MODOK has a LOT of moves that ignore hitstun decay. And I mean a lot. All versions of Balloon Bomb and Psionic Blaster cause soft knockdown, j.S causes a ground bounce, and f+H causes a wallbounce that turns into a strike that is jump-cancellable after the wallbounce gets used up.

MODOK can also jump cancel all his heavy normals and airdash cancel every single air normal, allowing you to quickly squeeze in more hits before hitstun decay.

@fapstarhero I know you have to do that for the loop, but the Hyper Battering Ram driving in the other non-loop combos looks a bit strange to me, but probably because I'm used to people going upwards and towards the wall, and the downwards motion in this video suggests that maybe he is sacrificing some hits in order to gain an advantageous position?

@LayzeeeDayzeee Forward-Up-Forward-Forward-Dow­n is a very easy and reliable way to get all the hits of HBR, but more importantly, it gets MODOK back down to the ground quickly! Going up and towards the wall can actually leave MODOK vulnerable to air supers/DHCs/assists/etc before he lands, so you always want to get back down to the ground to stay safe, and also to gain more time for followup actions.
