When my dentist charges for the service he provides, it's an inclusive cost. He's not charging separately for the materials. It's up to him how much profit he makes on it. If I don't like what he wants to charge me, I can go elsewhere.

Yes, and be certain you as patient 'ask to see the laboratory' bill . For the Dentist sends to the labs for fabrication. THis should include location of lab, cost and materials used for YOUR mouth!
