It's not a guarantee the Expos would've won the world series in 94. Hell, the 116 win Mariners didn't do it. But it's the idea it could've happened and we never got to see it that really tortured Montreal fans for years.
would had been a true dream coming to reality... with our expos winning and getting "money" n such to keep being here and avoid the loria/samson thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If it was a complete 162 games,I'd would think Montreal would have to slide by either Houston or Cinci in the playoffs, then would of ended up against either Chicago White Sox or the Yankees in the world series, but as far as The Expos performed that year they would likely become the undisputed WS Champs.
I just started a baseball league right here on youtube. all the greatest players from their respective teams as well as negro league all stars and AMGPL(LEAGUE of their own) female players, all playing against each other. check out my vids

the expos would have won the world series that year if not for the strike. they were 74-40 at the time

Nobody was beating the Yankees that year. That was the year Don Mattingly was supposed to FINALLY get his WS ring. Sadly, it wasn't meant to be.:-(

How come the Expos were only destined for the playoffs in strike-shortened seasons?

Good team that year. It was the end of the line though, sad to say.
