If an artist doesnt explore thier creative boundaries then i think they become stale and boring. i mean a band that doesnt evolve and sounds the god damn same every single release is like AC/DC or nickelback lol.

FYI any peeps who haven't read the Q&A. This album is by a BAND rather than just our lovable Tom. Although the others are remaining anonymous apparently they have a background in metal and pretty fucking sweet in Hypocube-pusher's opinion. Anyway, this isn't a Squarepusher album, but it certainly features some of him, expect a mix of "sonic experimentation" combined with playing by some fine musicians.

Like any artist, Tom is simply evolving over time and exploring new venues within which to express himself. The likes of Hard Normal Daddy and Feed Me Weird Things were fantastic, rock solid works that still stand tall over a decade on, but if 10 albums on he was still producing material in that vein, it would be getting a little stale. Instead we have Hello Everything and Just A Souvenir representing his his more contemporary works whilst Shobaleader One is just the next step in his repertoire.

Simple tracks can be done in a way that is just as impressive as his more busy tracks. pulling off good minimalism takes skill as well.
