@waringpriest that's the etymology of the word 'philosophy,' the root literally means lover of knowledge. anyway,i took your words somewhat literally. and while i do agree w/ what you're implying about her style, this is slam poetry, so it's kind of par for the course to have overblown prosody like this. it's like criticizing kierkegaard b/c of his sentence structure (ignoring the fact that we're reading translations).

Im a poet, and am trying to figure out where my hands come in, we all use words, especially in this time where things are of no concern, ashes to dust as the smooth words collide, yet in all circumstances we use hands to wave goodbye, confusion and restoration, the hands and words form a tie, living together with eachother, the unspoken is the divide, small songs are never ending, when the words are meant to be yours, but to the destined port of forever, my hands are the last resort.
