There IS a way to kill them without them being assigned, I'm just not 100% sure how that's done. Although, after you kill your first one, the statement that you can only kill them when assigned then becomes true. Either way, 93 slayer is still necessary. The reason the first one is special, in my opinion, is because the tasks are random and Jagex wants people to be able to complete that particular task(killing an Ice Strykewyrm) as soon as they get the requirement.

@9eww bcp wins, Its got the exact same stats except it has more defense, it is tradeable and by the time you get torso, You could have made enough cash for both BCP and Tassets

@deadnbloodyx Not necessarily, I could easily get a Torso in 4-5 Hours. BA is extremely easy, especially when you are level 5 in all roles. Defender is the quickest role because a good defender can kill all penance runners with at MAX 3 uses of food. Yes it is possible to get a a BCP and Tassets in 4-5 Hours, but only with PvM. (No current money making method brings in 3-4M an hour)

If you're using farseer or arcane spirit shield, you can just tank the melee hits from the strykewyrm, and heal with soul split (flashing) and enh excalibur, so you don't even need prayer pots.
