Dude, it's just two screws and a nut and you can clean it, trim back the wire to a fresh spot and solder it and grease it up to prevent it from happening again.
Guess this will do in a pinch but that shite is going to crumble off inside your input broham.

Contact cleaner is fine for the metal parts, but don't over do it and shoot large amounts of contact cleaner up inside your Gibson L5.
