The point is, there is nothing fake about the Bible. Atheists and theologians will deny the Bible as though the Bible was made as a puzzle for them to solve. The truth is, the prophecies have been fulfilled. Are being fulfilled. And knowledge and logic will prove Atheist viewpoints about them wrong. They just won't accept it. THIS is the TRUTH.
SupremeAmerican--I think that Israel reclaiming its statehood is one of the best evidences for the bible. And I wouldn't complain 'well, it didn't predict the exact date, so it doesn't matter.' But for the most part, what we have are prophecies that have either failed, or are open to historical interpretation, and may or may not have been fulfilled. I would believe based on Israel becoming a state again...if there weren't numerous difficulties with the bible.
The bible contains medium-specific prophecies. More specific than Nostradamus for example. Here is what I mean by a specific prophecy. On May 21 2011 1/3 of all mankind will disappear from the face of the earth. That's a specific prophecy that anyone could agree did not happen. There are no prophecies like that in the bible. All are vague enough that a favorable interpretation makes them look fulfilled. There are also several bible prophecies that were not, and cannot possibly be fulfilled.
@mjt532 did you not listen to the whole video? They were incredibly specific, not vague at all and there are specific dates in the Bible in regards to several things like when Israel would leave Babylon (exact time line is given) that is all recorded in history, etc...and I am sure many of ppl of the time when the prophecies were written also thought they could never be fulfilled or that they sounded vague because they didn't understand certain key components at that time.
@Agape4TheirSakes What's odd is that the vast majority of bible prophecies are open to interpretation. Yet there are a small number that are incredibly specific, and have been 'fulfilled'. So why would god go from making prophecies that are at least somewhat vague, and then make a handful that were close to 100% specific. In most of those cases, scholars agree (not conservatives of course) that they were written after the fact. I'm not educated enough to know all the arguments, but...
@mjt532 I think that the ones that we see as vague aren't vague at all. It is to the glory of God to conceal a matter and the glory of Kings to search them out. I just found out about the Red Heifer of Num 19. That blew me away how 100% specific a prophecy that is concerning Jesus yet if you read it right now you would think it had nothing to do with Him and that it isn't even a prophecy at all until you search the matter out. Scholars do not agree they were written afterwards, skeptics do.
@Agape4TheirSakes (Part 3) When you get to Daniel 11:40-45, everything about Antiochus IV is wrong. So we have incredibly accurate predictions 400 years in advance, followed by 6 verses of inaccurate predictions. This is how scholars sometimes decide when a book was written. They don't say 'Obviously Daniel had to be written after the prophecies took place, because otherwise that would prove the bible to be true.' They say that we have a series of unbelievably accurate 'predictions'...
@mjt532 About the dating, the claims that it was written later can all be shot down when looking at all evidence that say otherwise. The verses of what you think are inaccurate are because you place them under a wrong assumption. There are predictions throughout the Bible that span 1000's of years so it isn't unreasonable to think that some just haven't happened yet including Dan 11:40-45 end times (which isn't talking about Antiochus IV)
@Agape4TheirSakes (Pt 4) And then some obviously wrong predictions starting in Dan 11:40. So 'Daniel' more than likely lived after the first prophecies were 'fulfilled', but before he knew the ultimate fate of Antiochus IV. (This is how Mark is dated to about CE 70 as well, because the temple was destroyed in CE 70, but the rest of the 'prophecies' didn't come true.) There are other reasons for dating Daniel in the 2nd century, but again I'm not qualified to comment. (One more point to come)
@mjt532 that is a big assumption to make just based on superficial evidence. If you look at his writing style, the fact that Daniel (including chapter 11) are mentioned in the dead sea scrolls, etc all point to it being written earlier then the time of the events. Anything that says otherwise has been refuted. As for whether it is talking about Antiochus IV, it explicitly says the time of the end...to tell you what it is referring to (end times) seems rather obvious to me
@Agape4TheirSakes One of the reasons scholars believe in the 164 dating for Daniiel has to do with writing style. And yet there are conservatives who say exactly the opposite. You would think that would be an incredibly easy answer, like trying to determine whether King James English is the same as ours.Which indicates to me that someone is just flat out lying. Also, Daniel was in the DSS, but the earliest dates are around 120 for that specific book. If I'm wrong, I'll be glad to be corrected.
@Agape4TheirSakes Final point, a lot of conservative scholars will claim that Dainiel 11:40-45 is about the antichrist/end times. To anyone not already a Christian, it appears that this is just an excuse to make the bible look like it didn't give incorrect prophecies. To say that there is a 2000+ year gap in one passage, and that it suddenly switches to someone who is the 'antitype' of Antiochus IV...this just seems dishnoest. Simplest answer is usually correct...failed prophecy.
@mjt532 everything about Christians seems silly to unbelievers they mock the thing we put hope in, that is what the Bible says. There are multiple times where there are huge gaps in prophecy's Jesus even read one (Luke 4:17-21) He read the part for His current time and closed the book before it talked about the time of vengeance (because that time hadn't come yet). What makes the Bible so unique is its layers, it is not simple, it can stump wise men but a child through the HS can translate :)
@Agape4TheirSakes The Luke passage may suggest a gap in time...not 100% convinced, But even if so, that doesn't mean that the book of Daniel was doing the same thing. I understand why as a Christian this use of multiple gaps would be appealing, but to a skeptic, you have to realize that it looks like a conventient excuse for why part of the prophecy seemed to miss.
@mjt532 part 2 I just wanted to mention the toes in Daniels prophecy scholars say a lot of things about it, but I don't agree with them, too much speculation. One thing to remember is that the Bible always confirms itself, with itself. So with the other passage (Dan 11) you may want to look into other passages that might give a clue as to it's true meaning (forget scholars, trust the HS), on that note check into the toes of iron and clay and then reference it with the days of Noah. Have fun!
@Agape4TheirSakes Sounds like a jigsaw puzzle. Can you give me a hint? Maybe a book or a weblink to understand what you're getting at? Usually when conservative and liberal scholars agree on something, I figure it's such a rareity that it must be right!
@mjt532 sure! Start with Gen 6, take special note of verse 4 and of verse 9 (for another hint the word tamin in Hebrew (translated in our Bibles as either perfect or blameless, etc) means physically without blemish...dwell on that for a bit then go to Matt 24:37. Most people just assume it is talking about ppl getting married, life going on as usual, but then factor in Daniel 2:43 (the Aramaic word that is translated here to marriage actually means the seed of men).
@Agape4TheirSakes (Par 2) Look at the book of Daniel. Very little doubt that he's talking about Babylonian, Medan, Persians, and Greek emprires, and ends with Antiochus IV. (Conservatives of course think Rome is included.) If Daniel was written in 6th century BCE, this is the best set of prophecies ever recorded. And the prophecies about Antiochus are stunningly correct...until v 39. (cont'd)
Was 9/11 ‘THE GREAT SIGN’ & warning to all people from God of the Time of Trouble to come . . . EXACTLY 10 YEARS LATER ??? ( 9/11 >>> Sept-2011)
Consider 2011. . . Middle East on Fire , US & Europe on the $ brink , Earthquakes , Tsunamis , Floods , Tornados . . & . . ALL NATIONS “ closing in on ” on ISRAEL in September 2011 over Jerusalem ( Zech12v2-3 / Joel3v1-14 / Luke 2v20-28 ) To see God’s Plan ENTIRELY in BIBLE QUOTES go to wvvw.beyondcomingworldcrisis com
@nintendovspcuniverse If viewed it in isolation, then that's understandable. But when viewed in conjunction with SO MANY bible passages ( see our WebsiteDwnload ) & world events since - it then becomes clearer. The DIVIDING OF JERUSALEM by all nations & UN in Sept 2011 ( 9/11 ) is the Prophetic FLASHPOINT which God tells us will invoke the final chapter of Trouble before His intervention trho' the return of His Son. We know not the exact day but we are given the signs to know the time & seasons
DEAR SIR''''THE BIBLE IS NOT FAKE..IT IS A BLUEPRINT THAT THOSE IN CHARGE ARE FOLLOWING STEP BY STEP AND MAKING HAPPEN AS WRITTEN....THE PROPHECIES ARE ALL THINGS LIKE NATION CONTROL..THATS EASY TO MAKE HAPPEN SINCE ALL WORLD LEADERS ARE A PART OF THIS SOCIETY..THOSE KILLED IN WAR, ARE MERELY BLOOD SACRAFICES..ALL RELIGIONS WERE PUT INTO PLACE BY THE SAME POWER THEY INVADE COUNTRIES AND TAMPER WITH THEIR HERITAGE.(.H.A.A.R.P) IS CHANGING THE WEATHER. TO PUSH AS A 2012 PRELUDE TO SELL THE STORY
@visionsofapocalypse I don't see how I've proved your theory. The fact the God knows your future and gives you choice as well are not mutually exclusive.
This is bogus, all he talks about are the 1000's of prophecies that came true, but he doesn't even mention one . Am l gonna waste more time watching the others ? l think not .
@00AngelDog00 You see? You see how rebellious this doomed world of ours is? You didn't even spare 20 mins of your time to watch the 2nd video but have all the time to spare for your fun & sins. If you were to watch the 2nd part of this series, you would see examples of Bible prophecies to properly conclude that the word of God YAHWEH has always been right.
He is coming back, my lost friend. Are you ready to meet Him? Better repent of your sins before it's too late. There would be any excuses.
@Prophet4YAHWEH Your right, it's just a matter of time, and it will happen, and 9/11 was in the Bible, just not where people think. It was in the History books. Judges or Samuel 1 I think, where it was talking about them fighting people, and taking over moabite people, and I think it did come true, because there is a possessed women in one of the 9/11 videos on here. It matches a prophecy there. So don't assume you know study it, figure it out.
@Gonegoodforever I'm sorry but were you being sacrastic here? What are you talking about 911 being predicted in the Bible? Where? Show it to us, please.
@Gonegoodforever I am not lying it's in Samuel 1. Saul stops by this prophet, and he runs into a moabite woman and the prophet mentions the Towers falling down in Great Babylon, not Babylon, Iraq/Persia and a possessed woman decesned from that tribe. It isn't bogus, I just think it was never interrupted right, then I saw that old footage of 9/11 of that possessed black woman in NYC, and I realized they were talking about her and NYC. Your welcome to your opinions.
@Gonegoodforever I would like to see the 9/11 footage you're talking about. I looked for it but didn't see it . Do you have a link you could share? Just curious, not challenging your opinion.
@Prophet4YAHWEH It's worth mentioning as a theory. I am not trying to rebel against anyone or anything, it's just how I read the Old Testament, stop judging people AngelDog, and Prophet4Yahweh was in the right to ask about it. Otherwise, I am a Bible Believing Christian, haven't picked a denomination yet. But that's ok. Have a good Sunday, praise God. Love and prayers to people of Japan Disaters. God and Jesus bless and keep you.
@Gonegoodforever You don't have to pick a denomination. That's what gets believers into trouble. Denomination have certain doctrine, rules & traditions that you have to either believe in or follow to be in good standing. Another way of saying this: "In our club, you have to do what we say." You can be a Christian, study your Bible, then go to a Church that preaches the Bible. Forget about the Bingo games, Church Beer Tents, Yoga Classes, etc. They are enticements for your donations.
@Gonegoodforever If you want to hear the Word of God in an honest, straight forward way from a Pastor that gives you "word pictures", explains all phases of the Bible, I suggest John MacArthur. He has sermons here on youtube, & he also has his own channel; posted by Grace To You (GTY) & I find his "teaching" quite remarkable, genuine & memorable. He does not sugar-coat anything.
@JesusHoldMyHand1 Awesome and thank you. I am trying to help an atheist friend of mine, find Jesus. He might as well, he helped bring me back 2 years ago. I am not against science or logic, I am just saying there are "weird" or questionable stuff that needs an answer for it, and the atheists of the world need to find God. I think the other stuff is good, but the whole world has to make as much sense as possible to work too.
@Gonegoodforever You're Welcome. I know how you feel. Been there, done that. Good Luck to you, my friend, and keep watching up for the Lord. Some day soon (less than another 2,000 years, I hope) Our Lord & Savior is going to take us Home. Maranatha
@Gonegoodforever You say you're not against logic but then you say that we need answers for the 'questionable stuff'. This is fine but to me it defies logic to apply god to these areas. This reasoning has been done in the past with things like the sun moving across the sky and science has explained it all. Is that not reason enough to suggest that the application of god to the unexplainable is a flawed reason for god's existence?
@maskofsan1ty I am not. I am just saying it is something I noticed in Samuel 2 and a correlation between 9/11. I am not against Science or logic, if it proves otherwise, but it depends on the "unexplained" event and what people have found out or I have. Science doesn't disprove God, it just shows how God's world works that we're in.
I was wondering if you had one Bible Prophecy that was true. I want to believe but seem to have a difficult time finding enough facts. Thanks in advance.
@didgodsaythat All of the predictions about Jesus Christ have come true, except the one prophesying His imminent return. We are still waiting for that one because God is full of grace and mercy and wants many to come to Him. Jesus was prophesied to be born of the house of David, in Bethlehem, he would die on the cross, he would be buried in a rich man's tomb, he would be raised after three days. Jesus predicted the destruction of Jerusalem and it's temple.
@Delimeat01 All of that stuff sounds interesting, but there aren't any facts or evidence to support your claims. Visit my channel and watch some of the Jesus prophecy videos I made and share some of the evidence with me that you have found to support the mysterious Jesus prophecies.
@Delimeat01 Your are quite correct. Every generation has their group of people who "know" when Christ is coming for His Church. They are wrong to perdict a date. Christ said even the angels don't know. That's why we are to keep watching & living for Him because no one knows. The Bible is quite clear when He returns for the 2nd Coming, but not for the Rapture. Many people don't know what the Old Testament says. They need to study the OT along with the New Testament.
The prophecies in the bible were not a joke, nor are they now. Things have come to pass like 2000 years later, and you can't take that seriously? Things happen for a reason, whether we want to believe it or not. The fall of the World Trade Center's was even foretold. Two birds with silver wings, will fly into towers. I believe that the end times are here, and there is still more to come. If you don't know God, I feel sorry for you.
@TheQueenoftheDead You need to quote the Scripture that says two birds with silver wings will fly into towers. You won't find it, by the way, because it's not there.
@TheQueenoftheDead whoa I've read the entire bible and while all the prophecies written in them have come true their is not even one verse that talks about two birds with silver wings sorry but your wrong
This was all i needed...I BELIEVE NOW...LOL I am writing a bible too..." For i say unto you this dude will die of a heart attack " LOL time and date stamp this...and now we wait...ill be here for you all to pray to once this fat guy falls out..LOL
All of the "predictions" where only looked upon as a prediction after they have happened. For example if I said there would rain down rocks from the sky, then there was an asteroid impact on earth they would say the bible 100% predicted this. The problem with this is it is guaranteed and is to vague to say it was a prediction of this event. It's like saying one day I will wake up after I was supposed to because my alarm clock failed. Notice how I didn't include dates and this is going to happen
I can bet my life that this will happen in the future. As you can see there is no pacific date, so this could be any number of the times this will happen.
@lizazoon Look at what snowflakes look like under a microscope Job 38:22 "Have you entered into the treasures of the snow,or have you seen the treasures of the hail"
Job 26:7 "He hangs the earth upon nothing"
Isaiah 20:22 "It is he who sits on the circle of the earth..."
@megaead69 Sure, and the earth is a circle. When I went to school, the earth was a sphere. With a lot of fantasy, you can find the same wisdom in " Snowwhite and the 7 Dwarfs"
Some prophecies are "fulfilled" by the simple expedient of inventing and writing a fulfillment that never happened in fact. An example is Matthew 2:13-15, which has Jesus as a child being hauled off to Egypt to escape the "slaughter of the innocents". Neither the move to Egypt nor the slaughter ever took place. Matthew wrote this lie to be able to say "And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: "Out of Egypt I called my son." " Hosea 11:1 No other gospel records this.
Of course. If you take a thousand-page book and fill it with vague and contradictory prophecies (especially if you prophecy wars and disasters!) and wait a couple of thousand years, you'll find lots of world events that can be fitted into the prophecies. Modern life and world events also match up with the Lord of the Rings, the Celestine Prophecy, the writings of Mary Baker Eddy, L. Ron Hubbard, and Nostradamus. All it requires is faith

The problem with your reasoning is that the predictions were completely outside the human authors power to cause to come true, stating which empires will end and which one will follow them in power, stating when&how someone will die &much more. Also, google:
newbeginnings studies; Go to 1st website, click video, watch the first video. &in the Bible, some prophecies could get you killed if they were too easy to figure out. So,some symbols were used, but with CLEAR keys to figure them out.
Let me see now. Bible predicted four world wide empires only, Babylon, Persia, Greece and Rome. It predicted Rome would be divided in two. It predicted western Rome would be divided into 10 nations. It predicted the Roman Papacy would rule the world for 1260 years.
@daro2096 and how about all the rest 212 world wide empires in history =)? Forgetting to mention every single asian empire (dynasties). Just one mistake in ur reasoning, i'm sure there'd be more to be found if I could be bothered with it...
@daro2096 well how about Europe today? Could be considered as an "empire" or moreover, USA today, certainly only 1 nation under this "god"... the logic is just flawed.
@daro2096 and Rome was not an empire combined of separate nations to work under the Senate as Europe is now working under the European council? USA may be limited by it's geographical size, however, having military fleets around the globe not to mention the political & financial power it holds... yes, USA is very much a global empire... but like I've tried to point out, it's all about how you interpret things... Interpret in one way and it fits the bible prophecies perfectly...
There is a huge difference between Rome and the European Union. Rome was a military dictatorship, it was a facist state and what Caesar said was law and you did as he said or you would be killed on the cross or had your head chopped off or you got exiled.
@daro2096 You, my friend, are completely and utterly either missing my point or deciding to ignore it. I am not talking about details of dictatorship, type of state, etc. I am talking about interpretation. HOW you interpret an empire. You may interpret things said in the bible in any way which fits your view of the world. If you cannot comprehend this, then there's no point in continuing this discussion. Peace out
There have been only four world wide empires. Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome. They were considered world empires. The world they did not control was the wilderness occupied by barbarians.
There have been empires since but none of them have controlled the WHOLE WORLD.
@daro2096 I could start arguing and pointing examples and holes in that argument. But honestly, I couldn't care less since you are blatantly ignoring my point which I explained in my last comment.... Never argue with an idiot, they only drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience. End of story.
god is just a difrent word for fear i mena what is the bilble rleya about instlaing hte fear if youre not a good human beaing youre going to hell and its that fear that keeps pepl in line so relay intruleay god is fear just our fear
Nah just toss you into a lake of fire, or seal your fate when he says catch phrase "i do not know you," and that is contradicting to an omnipresent being.
well I'm a man not an omnipresent and omnipotent god there are things and people I do not know, if your god is neither omnipresent nor omnipotent why call it god?
get any encyclopedia britannica and youll see that scholars and historians all agree that the book of isaiah was written in around 2750 B.C and the prophecies in that book about the life of Jesus who was born 750 years! later are enough evedence right there for me.
oh my god... Seriously? "2018 people die in america from heart attacks" OH MY GOD ITS THE ACT OF THE LORD! Honestly, this video is not even worth my intellectual integrity.
When the apostle Paul says that the Scriptures are inspired by God I do not know if he by the word Scriptures means something else than the books of Moses and prophets in the Old Testament, so I feel free to make my own judgement about the Bible. My common sense tells me that for instance in the book of Revelation, the book of Jude and the second chapter of Matthew there are no words of God. I think that God allowes Satan to use the Bible to deceive those who are bold and unrepentant.
FEAR! FEAR ! Are you scared? Good, now I know how you can be safe, be saved! only Jesus can make you feel safe again, are you not afraid enough to believe? ok let me show you some more people dieing. What about now? good? ok now that you saved, you dont have to worry about seat belts, dont think about what your eating, god has a plan for you.
Subtracting 907,200 days from the Gregorian date of May 14, 1948, the calculator reveals a date of July 15, 537 B.C
In the year 537 B.C., 360 years of punishment remained on God's timetable. However, when the people of Israel refused to repent of their sins, this punishment was multiplied seven-fold from 360 years to 2,520 years. 360 days comprise a biblical year, so the allotted time equaled 907,200 days.
also Israel declared independence on May 14, 1948 the Balfour Declaration, which "view[ed] with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people".
nice try the
the british used to own that land but gave back to the jews within the 24hours
that's why Israel isn't disputed as a nation genius the UN established it there, which was fully supported by the US government.
realcrown - One good nuke and the prophecy will be destroyed. Anyone who is not against Israel supports Iran and the movement to nuke Israel. To stop Iran we must destroy Israel. To save Israel for being nuked we must destroy Israel. Destroy Israel. Destroy Israel for peace. Destroy Israel for peace in the name of Jesus Christ.
606 B.C Israel taken into Babylonian captivity - 70 Years for 70 years = 536 B.C. End of first 70 years of judgment + 2483 Years Now add the 2,483 years remaining in this judgment + 1 Year Add 1 year because there is no "0" B.C. or A.D. = 1948 AD!
Who has ever seen or heard of anything as strange as this? Has a nation ever been born in a single day? Has a country ever come forth in a mere moment? But by the time Jerusalems birth pains begin, the baby will be born; the nation will come forth. Would I ever bring this nation to the point of birth and then not deliver it? asks the Lord. No! I would never keep this nation from being born, says your God. Isaiah 66:8-9 (NLT)
that is one of the many fulfilled prophecies GOD knew we would be evil. noahs flood does not change people like you from being born after and being foolish so why even bring it up? He said "there is not one righteous" the most holy person is still dirty only GOD is perfect you try to trash talk GOD because you know He exists. why are you so against HIM? stop talking about Him if He's so fake
During that same day, the United States issued a statement recognizing Israel's sovereignty. And, only hours beforehand, a United Nations mandate expired, ending British control of the land. During a 24-hour span of time, foreign control of the land of Israel had formally ceased, and Israel had declared its independence.
turningtide1: Well that was a pretty mean thing to say. You should practice what you preach, if god is merciful then try being merciful and understanding other peoples' points before resorting to grade school insults.
"God loves us"? I suppose that explains why he wiped out most of life on earth with a flood in the bible? No, it doesn't.
"God is merciful"? About as merciful as a drunken abusive father. God is actually directly responsible for much of the death in the bible.
So God lets a bunch of people die in car accidents, and we're supposed to love and follow him? No thanks.
Every religion "predicts" events, it's up to the silly followers to connect dots that aren't meant to be connected.
Man made god, so god did whatever the bible says. Just like Harry Potter does whatever J.K. Rowling says. It's no different. But if you find yourselves by following god or star wars or whatever, go for it. I'm glad the sheep have a safe place to stay...
Thankful for...what? It's "normal" that you think you're supposed to be thankful for the good things in life. It's a simple mentality, blame your devil for the bad, and thank your god for the good? Just because one book says so? One book out of all the many religions...religions that christianity destroyed violently. The history of christianity is more violent than any other religion.
But you misunderstood. I don't blame fictional characters for what man is responsible for.
Have you truly studied biblical text? is your opinion valid over those who spend there time asking the most important questions there are in life? are you not humble enough to think if there is a god that he operates on a different level of logic? if you read the book of Job you will see what I mean, why would god let satan play this terrible "game" with Job...because there are just some things that we will never fully understand,I belive that its all about the constant battle between good and ev
Have you studied Star Wars? what difference does it make? Fiction is fiction, even if it does have a good message behind it. do you really think a text as violent as the bible is worth putting that much thought into? Your looking for the right reasons, yes, but you're looking in the wrong place.
I've read the bible. I have not "studied" it. But if you think god works on a different level of logic, then what makes you think you know what questions are the most important to begin with?
You read the Bible then I know it effected you you cant read the Bible and it not effect you it is Gods living word. the Bible is the truth has the past present and future inside.
God is "allowing" me to still have my family and my life? What about people who've lost their entire family? What about people who are sick and about to die, while still being young? Yes, other people have it much worse than me, but that has ZERO to do with what we're talking about. Besides, what would you say to THOSE people who are worse off? Your comments make no sense when you phrase them to different people.
God allowed the people he created to become evil. As a creator he was incompetent in his foresight. Every artist, engineer, designer, etc bears the responsibility to use their expertise to foresee the consequences of the defects they put into their design. He is worse than an amateur creator, being compelled to drown the people he created because of the defects he put into their design.
God is a big fail. So are the people who are dumb enough to worship him.
As soon as you "find God," wouldn't you want to just die so you can go to heaven? Why spend a few awful years on earth when you can go straight to heaven and live forever? This life is pretty meaningless if you believe in God and heaven.
So, life for the saved is just "a situation"? I know a Christian at work, and from the comments I've heard him make he can't WAIT to die. That's when life gets GOOD for him. I find it sad.
So life to you is simply a soul-filtering process where your god weeds out the saved from the unsaved? If that were true I'd have to say it's a pathetic way to do it. That's like breeding your dog to have a litter of puppies, and the ones that like you get to sit in your lap but the ones who don't will get their heads stomped on repeatedly.
i know i'll get slammed by someone for saying this but i'm mormon and this guy's slamming the book of mormon is wrong. mormons are christians to. we read the same bible and worship the same God. the only difference is that we have the book of mormon which does not replace the bible in any way but it is a second book that 100% proves the holy bible true and that jesus was the christ. the revelations in it come from God and don't go against any revelation in the bible. we're 100% christian too!
No, I'm from Utah, and I've grown up learning all of this. There are several MAJOR differences. The biggest of which I think is that in Mormonism, Jesus is not God.
Read the first chapter of John, and you'll see in black and white that Jesus is God.
why He would pray to Himself like in Gethsemane, or say "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do" while He was on the cross, or when He was transfigured in Matthew17:5 where a voice came out of a cloud saying "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him". i'm just tryin to inform everyone that just bc we interpret the Holy Bible differently doesn't mean we (LDS) are not Christians. All Christians should be supporting each other not fighting each other. peace :)
We know the bible is God's word because the bible is God's word. Just like how we know the world is flat because (obviously) the world is flat. Duh. we know things because we know them.
One cannot criticise the Bible without fully understanding it. If any has just heard or read a few passages that doesn't mean you understand what's it all about. Any questiions about it will be fully explained by God on the day we leave Earth.
I agree with Philos, There are no prophecies that have come true through prediction, saying I told you so after the fact is a postdiction. This holds true fro the bible codes, nostradamus, and tarot readers among others. Infact I believe the translation in the bible is wrong, after all it was written by man, it is not sons of god but sun of god. We were astronomical sun worshipping people, i never and still don't really believe in the stars, but read cosmos and psyche by richard tarnas
I read Isaiah 11:11 and was wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing with me what it means.....you may email me directly instead of posting.....I am interested :)
The truth is the bible is false; all regions that rely on the bible are false. Reject the god of Abraham that Jews, Christians and Muslims worship. To Him be an anti-theist and blasphemer. If God does not like it let him do something. God will do nothing, not even complain.
Churches quote the bible, which is a compilation of second hand false stories and ancient mythologies. They frighten you and take your money. Keep your money and resist their foolishness.
Is Jebus blocking it?

The point is, there is nothing fake about the Bible. Atheists and theologians will deny the Bible as though the Bible was made as a puzzle for them to solve. The truth is, the prophecies have been fulfilled. Are being fulfilled. And knowledge and logic will prove Atheist viewpoints about them wrong. They just won't accept it. THIS is the TRUTH.
TheStuntKids100 5 months ago
SupremeAmerican--I think that Israel reclaiming its statehood is one of the best evidences for the bible. And I wouldn't complain 'well, it didn't predict the exact date, so it doesn't matter.' But for the most part, what we have are prophecies that have either failed, or are open to historical interpretation, and may or may not have been fulfilled. I would believe based on Israel becoming a state again...if there weren't numerous difficulties with the bible.
mjt532 6 months ago
The bible contains medium-specific prophecies. More specific than Nostradamus for example. Here is what I mean by a specific prophecy. On May 21 2011 1/3 of all mankind will disappear from the face of the earth. That's a specific prophecy that anyone could agree did not happen. There are no prophecies like that in the bible. All are vague enough that a favorable interpretation makes them look fulfilled. There are also several bible prophecies that were not, and cannot possibly be fulfilled.
mjt532 6 months ago
@mjt532 Israel becoming a state again isnt specific enough for you?
SupremeAmerican 6 months ago

I'm not educated enough to know all the arguments, but...
mjt532 2 months ago

They don't say 'Obviously Daniel had to be written after the prophecies took place, because otherwise that would prove the bible to be true.' They say that we have a series of unbelievably accurate 'predictions'...
mjt532 2 months ago
@mjt532 About the dating, the claims that it was written later can all be shot down when looking at all evidence that say otherwise. The verses of what you think are inaccurate are because you place them under a wrong assumption. There are predictions throughout the Bible that span 1000's of years so it isn't unreasonable to think that some just haven't happened yet including Dan 11:40-45 end times (which isn't talking about Antiochus IV)
Agape4TheirSakes 2 months ago
@Agape4TheirSakes (Pt 4) And then some obviously wrong predictions starting in Dan 11:40. So 'Daniel' more than likely lived after the first prophecies were 'fulfilled', but before he knew the ultimate fate of Antiochus IV. (This is how Mark is dated to about CE 70 as well, because the temple was destroyed in CE 70, but the rest of the 'prophecies' didn't come true.) There are other reasons for dating Daniel in the 2nd century, but again I'm not qualified to comment. (One more point to come)
mjt532 2 months ago
@mjt532 that is a big assumption to make just based on superficial evidence. If you look at his writing style, the fact that Daniel (including chapter 11) are mentioned in the dead sea scrolls, etc all point to it being written earlier then the time of the events. Anything that says otherwise has been refuted. As for whether it is talking about Antiochus IV, it explicitly says the time of the end...to tell you what it is referring to (end times) seems rather obvious to me
Agape4TheirSakes 2 months ago
@Agape4TheirSakes One of the reasons scholars believe in the 164 dating for Daniiel has to do with writing style. And yet there are conservatives who say exactly the opposite. You would think that would be an incredibly easy answer, like trying to determine whether King James English is the same as ours.Which indicates to me that someone is just flat out lying. Also, Daniel was in the DSS, but the earliest dates are around 120 for that specific book. If I'm wrong, I'll be glad to be corrected.

mjt532 2 months ago
@Agape4TheirSakes Final point, a lot of conservative scholars will claim that Dainiel 11:40-45 is about the antichrist/end times. To anyone not already a Christian, it appears that this is just an excuse to make the bible look like it didn't give incorrect prophecies. To say that there is a 2000+ year gap in one passage, and that it suddenly switches to someone who is the 'antitype' of Antiochus IV...this just seems dishnoest. Simplest answer is usually correct...failed prophecy.
mjt532 2 months ago
@mjt532 everything about Christians seems silly to unbelievers they mock the thing we put hope in, that is what the Bible says. There are multiple times where there are huge gaps in prophecy's Jesus even read one (Luke 4:17-21) He read the part for His current time and closed the book before it talked about the time of vengeance (because that time hadn't come yet). What makes the Bible so unique is its layers, it is not simple, it can stump wise men but a child through the HS can translate :)
Agape4TheirSakes 2 months ago
@Agape4TheirSakes The Luke passage may suggest a gap in time...not 100% convinced, But even if so, that doesn't mean that the book of Daniel was doing the same thing. I understand why as a Christian this use of multiple gaps would be appealing, but to a skeptic, you have to realize that it looks like a conventient excuse for why part of the prophecy seemed to miss.
mjt532 2 months ago
@mjt532 part 2 I just wanted to mention the toes in Daniels prophecy scholars say a lot of things about it, but I don't agree with them, too much speculation. One thing to remember is that the Bible always confirms itself, with itself. So with the other passage (Dan 11) you may want to look into other passages that might give a clue as to it's true meaning (forget scholars, trust the HS), on that note check into the toes of iron and clay and then reference it with the days of Noah. Have fun!
Agape4TheirSakes 2 months ago
@Agape4TheirSakes Sounds like a jigsaw puzzle. Can you give me a hint? Maybe a book or a weblink to understand what you're getting at? Usually when conservative and liberal scholars agree on something, I figure it's such a rareity that it must be right!
mjt532 2 months ago

(cont'd)

He is coming back, my lost friend. Are you ready to meet Him? Better repent of your sins before it's too late. There would be any excuses.
Prophet4YAHWEH 1 year ago
@Prophet4YAHWEH Your right, it's just a matter of time, and it will happen, and 9/11 was in the Bible, just not where people think. It was in the History books. Judges or Samuel 1 I think, where it was talking about them fighting people, and taking over moabite people, and I think it did come true, because there is a possessed women in one of the 9/11 videos on here. It matches a prophecy there. So don't assume you know study it, figure it out.
Gonegoodforever 11 months ago
@Gonegoodforever I'm sorry but were you being sacrastic here? What are you talking about 911 being predicted in the Bible? Where? Show it to us, please.
Prophet4YAHWEH 11 months ago
@Gonegoodforever I am not lying it's in Samuel 1. Saul stops by this prophet, and he runs into a moabite woman and the prophet mentions the Towers falling down in Great Babylon, not Babylon, Iraq/Persia and a possessed woman decesned from that tribe. It isn't bogus, I just think it was never interrupted right, then I saw that old footage of 9/11 of that possessed black woman in NYC, and I realized they were talking about her and NYC. Your welcome to your opinions.

@Prophet4YAHWEH It's worth mentioning as a theory. Otherwise, I am a Bible Believing Christian, haven't picked a denomination yet. But that's ok. Have a good Sunday, praise God. Love and prayers to people of Japan Disaters. God and Jesus bless and keep you.
Gonegoodforever 11 months ago
@Gonegoodforever You don't have to pick a denomination. That's what gets believers into trouble. Denomination have certain doctrine, rules & traditions that you have to either believe in or follow to be in good standing. Another way of saying this: "In our club, you have to do what we say." You can be a Christian, study your Bible, then go to a Church that preaches the Bible. Forget about the Bingo games, Church Beer Tents, Yoga Classes, etc. They are enticements for your donations.

Gonegoodforever 11 months ago
@Gonegoodforever You're Welcome. I know how you feel. Been there, done that. Good Luck to you, my friend, and keep watching up for the Lord. Some day soon (less than another 2,000 years, I hope) Our Lord & Savior is going to take us Home. Maranatha
JesusHoldMyHand1 11 months ago
@Gonegoodforever You say you're not against logic but then you say that we need answers for the 'questionable stuff'. This is fine but to me it defies logic to apply god to these areas. This reasoning has been done in the past with things like the sun moving across the sky and science has explained it all. Is that not reason enough to suggest that the application of god to the unexplainable is a flawed reason for god's existence?
maskofsan1ty 11 months ago
@maskofsan1ty I am not. I am just saying it is something I noticed in Samuel 2 and a correlation between 9/11. I am not against Science or logic, if it proves otherwise, but it depends on the "unexplained" event and what people have found out or I have. Science doesn't disprove God, it just shows how God's world works that we're in.
Gonegoodforever 11 months ago

didgodsaythat 1 year ago
@didgodsaythat All of the predictions about Jesus Christ have come true, except the one prophesying His imminent return. We are still waiting for that one because God is full of grace and mercy and wants many to come to Him. Jesus was prophesied to be born of the house of David, in Bethlehem, he would die on the cross, he would be buried in a rich man's tomb, he would be raised after three days. Jesus predicted the destruction of Jerusalem and it's temple.
Delimeat01 1 year ago
@Delimeat01 All of that stuff sounds interesting, but there aren't any facts or evidence to support your claims. Visit my channel and watch some of the Jesus prophecy videos I made and share some of the evidence with me that you have found to support the mysterious Jesus prophecies.
didgodsaythat 1 year ago
@Delimeat01 Your are quite correct. Every generation has their group of people who "know" when Christ is coming for His Church. They are wrong to perdict a date. Christ said even the angels don't know. That's why we are to keep watching & living for Him because no one knows. The Bible is quite clear when He returns for the 2nd Coming, but not for the Rapture. Many people don't know what the Old Testament says. They need to study the OT along with the New Testament.
JesusHoldMyHand1 1 year ago
The prophecies in the bible were not a joke, nor are they now. Things have come to pass like 2000 years later, and you can't take that seriously? Things happen for a reason, whether we want to believe it or not. The fall of the World Trade Center's was even foretold. Two birds with silver wings, will fly into towers. The problem with your reasoning is that the predictions were completely outside the human authors power to cause to come true, stating which empires will end and which one will follow them in power, stating when&how someone will die &much more. Also, google:

Let me see now. Bible predicted four world wide empires only, Babylon, Persia, Greece and Rome. It predicted Rome would be divided in two. It predicted western Rome would be divided into 10 nations. It predicted the Roman Papacy would rule the world for 1260 years.

USA may be a superpower but it is not a world wide empire.
daro2096 1 year ago
@daro2096 and Rome was not an empire combined of separate nations to work under the Senate as Europe is now working under the European council? USA may be limited by it's geographical size, however, having military fleets around the globe not to mention the political & financial power it holds... yes, USA is very much a global empire... but like I've tried to point out, it's all about how you interpret things... Interpret in one way and it fits the bible prophecies perfectly...
juuonse 1 year ago
@juuonse
There is a huge difference between Rome and the European Union. Rome was a military dictatorship, it was a facist state and what Caesar said was law and you did as he said or you would be killed on the cross or had your head chopped off or you got exiled.
Does the EU do any of this? NO.
daro2096 1 year ago
@daro2096 You, my friend, are completely and utterly either missing my point or deciding to ignore it. I am not talking about details of dictatorship, type of state, etc. I am talking about interpretation. HOW you interpret an empire.

Destroy Israel for peace in the name of Jesus Christ.

the temple still must be rebuilt
in the last days
just as the bible predicts
realcrown 2 years ago
Long ago the Bible predicted these events would transpire in the last days:
1) The gathering of the Jews into their homeland
2) The rebirth of Israel in a single day
3) The rebirth of Israel in the year 1948
4) Israels possession of Jerusalem
5) The nations of the earth aligned against Israel
6) The war of Gog / Magog
7) The rebuilding of the Jewish Temple.
how many of these things happened?
my point exactly

Where exactly in the Bible say that Israel will be re-founded in 1948????

606 B.C Israel taken into Babylonian captivity - 70 Years for 70 years = 536 B.C. End of first 70 years of judgment + 2483 Years Now add the 2,483 years remaining in this judgment + 1 Year Add 1 year because there is no "0" B.C. or A.D. = 1948 AD!
realcrown 2 years ago
Whoa whoa whoa, 100% accuracy? It all depends on how you interpret a "proficy".

God is actually directly responsible for much of the death in the bible.

easter and Christmas are about Jesus birth
and resurrection
that's why some nonbelievers don't celebrate it and made santa and the easter bunny
to hide behind and celebrate
that's why it's called Christmas easter (also Resurrection Day or Resurrection Sunday), two days after Good Friday

ArchetypeZero 2 years ago
God does not do this
it's normal that you point to
things like car accidents to try and blame God but think about it for second
where your life came from
and be thankful you aren't a victim
realcrown 2 years ago

TheDotComKid84 2 years ago
Have you studied Star Wars? what difference does it make? Fiction is fiction, even if it does have a good message behind it. do you really think a text as violent as the bible is worth putting that much thought into? Your looking for the right reasons, yes, but you're looking in the wrong place.
I've read the bible. I have not "studied" it. But if you think god works on a different level of logic, then what makes you think you know what questions are the most important to begin with?

You read the Bible then I know it effected you you cant read the Bible and it not effect you it is Gods living word. the Bible is the truth has the past present and future inside.

Typical scare tactics from the theist community.
"Repent and turn to Jesus TODAY before you unexpectedly die and spend eternity being tortured in a horrible place that God himself created."
The gospel in a nutshell: Take this pill (Christianity) in order to cure yourself from the sickness you have been headed for since birth.
How loving of God to give us a way out of ending up in the worst place imaginable, a place he himself created.
worldsworstjukebox 2 years ago
scare tactics?
if God is so bad. why would He even allow you to still have your family and your life?
other people have it much worse than you
and you whine on a website?
realcrown 2 years ago
God is "allowing" me to still have my family and my life? What about people who've lost their entire family? What about people who are sick and about to die, while still being young? Yes, other people have it much worse than me, but that has ZERO to do with what we're talking about. Besides, what would you say to THOSE people who are worse off? Your comments make no sense when you phrase them to different people.
worldsworstjukebox 2 years ago
even if they lost their family
they are still blessed to be alive
they have a chance to turn to God
some people lost their family and went to hell
nothing is worse than hell

God allowed the people he created to become evil. As a creator he was incompetent in his foresight. Every artist, engineer, designer, etc bears the responsibility to use their expertise to foresee the consequences of the defects they put into their design. He is worse than an amateur creator, being compelled to drown the people he created because of the defects he put into their design.
God is a big fail. So are the people who are dumb enough to worship him.
imaginethereisnogod 2 years ago
As soon as you "find God," wouldn't you want to just die so you can go to heaven? Why spend a few awful years on earth when you can go straight to heaven and live forever? This life is pretty meaningless if you believe in God and heaven.
worldsworstjukebox 2 years ago
Yeah, feel what your saying. But ya just got to make the best of a situation.
bonsaiboy123 2 years ago
So, life for the saved is just "a situation"? I know a Christian at work, and from the comments I've heard him make he can't WAIT to die. That's when life gets GOOD for him. I find it sad.
worldsworstjukebox 2 years ago
no need for that to be sad.
why worry so much about life on this side?
that's like getting an inheritance of millions and spending it all the day you get it .
what will you do when you have to face the next day and you had a chance to be wise about things?
realcrown 2 years ago
"why worry so much about life on this side?"
What other "side" is there? What evidence do you have that such a place exists? A book?
"what will you do when you have to face the next day and you had a chance to be wise about things?"
Are you suggesting I'm ignorant? How is it you know so much more than me, even though I've researched this stuff daily for the past 4 1/2 years?
worldsworstjukebox 2 years ago
except that this life decides your ultimate fate, but besides that this life is meaningless
TheDotComKid84 2 years ago
So life to you is simply a soul-filtering process where your god weeds out the saved from the unsaved? If that were true I'd have to say it's a pathetic way to do it. That's like breeding your dog to have a litter of puppies, and the ones that like you get to sit in your lap but the ones who don't will get their heads stomped on repeatedly.
worldsworstjukebox 2 years ago
i know i'll get slammed by someone for saying this but i'm mormon and this guy's slamming the book of mormon is wrong. mormons are christians to. we read the same bible and worship the same God. the only difference is that we have the book of mormon which does not replace the bible in any way but it is a second book that 100% proves the holy bible true and that jesus was the christ. the revelations in it come from God and don't go against any revelation in the bible. we're 100% christian too!
jedineltis 2 years ago
No, I'm from Utah, and I've grown up learning all of this. There are several MAJOR differences. The biggest of which I think is that in Mormonism, Jesus is not God.
Read the first chapter of John, and you'll see in black and white that Jesus is God.
rossobass420 2 years ago
why He would pray to Himself like in Gethsemane, or say "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do" while He was on the cross, or when He was transfigured in Matthew17:5 where a voice came out of a cloud saying "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him". i'm just tryin to inform everyone that just bc we interpret the Holy Bible differently doesn't mean we (LDS) are not Christians. All Christians should be supporting each other not fighting each other. peace :)
jedineltis 2 years ago
We know the bible is God's word because the bible is God's word. Just like how we know the world is flat because (obviously) the world is flat. Duh. we know things because we know them.
snank07 2 years ago
