Also what children are able to do vary allot from child to child. When I was four I could not tie my shoelaces, I could however give a half an hour presentation about the anatomy of the inner ear. Now kids do strange things, especially distressed kids and it is not possible to monitor them 24/7.

@Kitsune1414 We don't know the whole the story, but from what SHE said she obviously isn't a responsible parent because she said "kids do things like this." Only teens do things like this, but she needed an excuse for her failure. His father is also to blame because he obviously had an impact on how he should behave.
All in all this was just sad for the kid but hilarious. I laughed.

Most kids do this when they are 16 or 17, now when they are 4. In my opinion, there is no possible way a four year old could do this on his own: get into a latched cooler, grab and open a beer, drink that much of it, break the child restraint on the door, be tall enough to open the door, and then have the idea to go into his neighbors how and open their door, if he was even tall enough, then steal 5 presents, which he would not have been able to hold, and finally put on a dress alone, and he do

Everybody wants to blame somebody each time a situation arises. Even if one could do better, his/her actions are impaired by predisposed character traits first. If we can all accept that unique foibles are both natural and necessary, as we all certainly do for our own selfish sake, we can't blame the poor kid, the poor mother, or the poor family. Anyone who does is probably a self-righteous person with his/her own issues.
Besides, precautions WERE taken and the kid was unusually determined.

@TheDeviantPanda First of all what a child know he is allowed to do, and what he actually do is not always the same thing, children misbehave. Also what children are able to do vary allot from child to child. When I was four I could not tie my shoelaces, I could however give a half an hour presentation about the anatomy of the inner ear. Now kids do strange things, especially distressed kids and it is not possible to monitor them 24/7.
