  • Good to see people acknowledge Michael Davis' passing. For us rebellious young punks growing up in Detroit back in the day, the MC5 were our Beatles.

  • ; Rest in Peace, Michael Davis.

  • Thunder in the night forever!

  • Keep kicking and rocking on the other side, Bro Michael!

  • Rock in Peace, Michael.

  • 2012 starts really badly, see ya Michael

  • R.I.P. Michael Davies.

  • R.I.P Brother Micheal

  • what a mix! punk+jazz+fanfare

  • it carp how these guys arent in the rock n roll hall a fame brings a tear to my eye nowin this

  • They had both had the best guitar sound I've ever heard.

  • kicks ass

  • The photo of the 5 defines BadAss.

  • This song would be smokin live I bet.

  • This Rocccks!!!!

  • Don't ask me why, but after 40 years, the music of the MC5 still kicks me in the gut.

  • Man how these fuckers rocked!!!!

  • in the intro, when the piano comes in: perfection

  • Hunter Thompson once said that music to him was fuel...that with the right kind of music blaring at top volume, you maybe could get 30 extra miles out of a tank of gas. THIS is what he was talking about.

  • One of my favorite America bands. At their best they could blow the Stones off the f'n stage, but they never made the perfect record, so (perhaps) they don't get the credit due to them. Even this great song is marred by the stupid ending. Otherwise it rocks!

  • @Beetlehair they could never blow the stones off the stage

  • @Beetlehair Stupid ending? Perhaps if you understood more about the band you'd think otherwise... anyway, I don't think it has a stupid ending. And their perfect album is called "High Time".

  • @LouieGee i agree, the marching band music at the end was ironic,

even those that didn't like it should give them credit for taking chances,

    being innovative

  • @matlan57 That's right... and it seems our friend here doesn't know the record which this music is from. He said they never made the "perfect record", but "High Time" is their perfect record. All songs are amazing... it's one of my fav records ever.

  • @LouieGee A lot of people don't know, but Bob Seger did some of the background vocals on this album,

as well as Skip Knappe, who was in Teegarden and Vanwinkle, and a lot of respected local muscians contributed.. I also really like "Baby won't ya" and "Over and Over" from this under-appreciated album.

  • @matlan57 All songs from this album are amazing, but indeed, "Over and Over" is one of the best.

  • I LOVE THIS BITCHIN' SONG! MC5 4ever!!!!!!!!!!
