@Colin1486 -Uh why are you so dumb ? No NHL team has averaged less than 12.000 fan per game since 2006-2007 when the Chicago Blackhawks were a horrible team. NHL and general hockey fans have risen a lot since that year .. I saw on ESPN once last year they were doing a report on the NHL before the end of the season and they talked about how NHL fan base has risen .. TV Ratings .. Ticket Sales .. I remember they said there were around 31 million hockey fans in US. 86% of fans watched 15+games.

and in 2009, Phoenix were averaging 8500 people at a game, and even in Detroit they offered $8 family dinner tickets cus no one was going. Look it all up, largest source of income for the NHL on a whole comes from the Canadian teams, that is a fact.
