  • That's tremendous! Is he playing with 3 courses? What tuning? Great version of an old tune.

  • Thanks, Bing! I know both Seifert & Ross will be highly informative. I would love to be able to afford to take lessons from Joe, you, Ross or Seifert ( or just about anyone that better than I.

  • Thanks, Bing! Any suggestions?

  • @SoManyDulcimers I'm getting back into showing some workshops - plus there's Seifert's and Ross' tutorials. I'm actually not sure how many folks are doing instructional dulcimer videos, but if you include "instructional" or "how-to" in your search terms along with "mountain dulcimer", you should come up with quite a few.

  • Thanks for sharing this with us. How do I learn to add embellishments like this to songs?

  • @SoManyDulcimers Search through YouTube and you'll find a lot of resources for embellishing tunes. : )

  • Very nice - thanks for posting. What tuning were you using?

  • Just great!

Reminds me of Nina Zanetti's phrasing and arranging approach.

  • Hey Joe - I didn't know you were on here. You have to see Joe play in person. Absolutely WONDERFUL.

Enjoyed your playing - just like always.

  • Thanks for watching, Jack!

  • Joe is a wonderful musician as well as a great person. I never tire of hearing him play.

  • I'm happy to have had the chance to meet him and actually hang out a bit!

  • Looks like you had a good time here in Georgia. I get up to the Helen area a couple times a year. While it is a bit touristy...ok...really touristy, it is still a nice place to get away. As always, thanks for sharing the vids!

  • It's a neat place - and I don't mind touristy - I live in Orlando. : ) Thanks for watching!

  • Thats a awsome version of the song!

  • Yeah, Joe sure knows how to get maximum sustain out of his notes - and he makes it look really easy.
