Nice job! I don't usually see many videos explaining how to draw "ethnic" faces.

I do see a lot of fellow East Asians who have many of the features you described. Although for me, I find that I look like a blend between an African and an Asian. I have a square-shaped face with a prominent jaw, a broad nose, and a very defined cupid's bow that gives me a prominent pucker and angle to my lips. I wonder how much black blood I have down the line, hahah.

@TheNathan148 yes they obviously do look SOMETHING alike, they both seem to have high cheek bones, both have flat broad noses most of the time, both have lips that look similar(escept blacks are bigger) they both come in different skin tones such as filipino asians, i have a friend and he is black but his dad is mixed with filipino and dominican so i know what im talking about. the only difference between the two is that asians have much smaller more slanted eyes

People saw the behavior of a small group of the particular People, and assumed that everyone of that people did the same. Racism is just pure hatred. I'm Asian, and generally I didn't find this offensive at all but seriously, our lips are not usually that full. Though I am honestly baffled by the comments that asians look like African Americans. Our features are just so, so different.

@SKULLxSNAPS When you say someone is "Asian", I think most people will picture an East Asian rather than an Indian or an Arab or a Turk or a Mongol or a Russian, but I suppose being more specific with the title wouldn't have hurt.

I'm not going to criticize someone who's a professionalyour skills are obviously good enough to land you a career in illustrationbut beginning artists should get out of the mentality that a good line is drawn with tiny scratches. The first roadblock I had to overcome when working on my drawing skills was learning how to draw a line and stick with it. It creates a more cohesive, stronger drawing.

There are better ways to learn to draw people of different ethnicities.

What this guy made this mistake of doing is classifying this as just Asian. You take someone from West Asia, South Asia, and East Asia, and you'll find that they may not share the same facial structure. A lot of people (myself included) don't appreciate being allotted into a certain category that doesn't respectfully represent us. You can't blame these folks for getting their panties in a twist. This guy's horrible anyway.

I'm African American and Yes, we notice a lot of Asians have slightly African American features only their hair is straight, their head is different and of course their eyes but their cheek bones and sometimes their lips & make them look like us. But if you go way back in Asia/India the indigenous peoples are black. It's not a lot of them left though. Been killed off or almalamated into the lighter race. Some black historians refer to some asians as asianic brothers. Go figure.

i think common asian people definitely do not look like that. every person in asia looks different so you can't say that they have such lips, eyes or nose... i know many people who has a tall nose or eyes with big lids in asia without plastic surgeries .... not everyone in asia looks like that .. this is so impolite..!
