@100radoja They weren't German, they were germanic. They migrated to the Balkans from Sweden. In fact the king of Sweden still uses the tittle King of the Swedes and the Goths.

Run you fu$#in heathen...to the hills pagan scumbags!!! Dude, the Roman Empire...We Christians took down the Roman fu%$in Empire. Now THATS some real hardcore sh%$ for a REAL hardcore God. Not your fake-assed braid wearing comic book Nordic characters.
"The Goths came as Christians" They were hardly Christian by any standard. Officially perhaps they recognized Christianity but not how we define a Christian today. Most Germanic people were deceived or forced into Christianity.

Not true. You don´t need to be a fu%$in rocket scientist to understand that some hammer wielding, braid wearing gay gods who had constantly and consistently gotten their asses kicked for centuries by Roman gods and their Empire...were infinitely inferior to a God who preached total NON VIOLENCE, got NAILED to a cross and who took down that very same Roman Empire your gay gods never could touch.
@RideMyBMW Gay means happy in case you did not know. and your conception of the Nordic Gods is rather disturbing if that you're trying to insult them. btw the roman empire was the largest at the time, but they barely managed to get rid of a group of warrior tribes. the christians were only lucky enough to do it slowly in the end because of f.e. domestic traitors. much of christianity is a saxon originated subculture, deiceitful and barbaric. its all about backstabbing. No Honor whatsoever...
@Naafalilargus You don´t need to be a fu%$in rocket scientist to understand this sh%$ dude...multiple braid wearing, hammer wielding dumbass gods v. one mega god, who came down, preached non violence, got nailed to a cross and took down the Roman fu%$in Empire. One skinny dude, Jesus, did what your whole fu&%in army of gay assed pagan Norse gods never could...

@RideMyBMW also thanks to the worship of the norse Gods, one of the smallest irrelevant communities in europe became the homeland to one of the most brutal and efficient warriors, raiders, traders, and craftsmen... you might know it today as scandinavia. and you call the Norse Gods gay braid wearing dumbasses, when the pantheon is just a bunch of naked civilians? Hmm, you can't really try to state wich God is the strongest, its like trying to divide by zero...
"Paganism v. Christianity.....hello? Get on the same page man." @RideMyBMW
so you are implying that the old Germanic Gods are not the same as the Nordic Gods just with different names? or that romans weren't Arian christians? the Romans did not only abandon every try of taking over eastern territories, but they had to try to convert germanic peoples slowly into christianity to not get their asses handed by them. even the majority of their army were recruited germans.
Dude, the Roman Empire...Takin´ down the Roman fu%$in Empire. Now THATS some real hardcore sh%$ for a REAL hardcore God. Not your gay-assed braid wearing comic book Nordic characters.
why do the germans want to unify everything all the time, rise up with national pride, etc etc. isn't that german historian just a little worrying? isn't nationalism just a little worrying? isn't the euro just a little worrying?
@kafkafied "why do the germans want to unify everything all the time, rise up with national pride, etc etc"
The Germanics were never accepted into the Roman Empire, so they´ve always felt like outsiders and unlike the Saxons, (who valued their freedom) the Germans admired and felt a need to emulate the glory of Rome... I think. Maybe? Thoughts?
It's a shame that all the historians talking about Dacia and the Dacians are Americans... Not one Romanian historian there. This is the result of 60 years of communism and systematic brainwashing in Eastern Europe and especially Romania. The study of history in Romania almost stopped in the early 1940's, and western historians are aware of that. Damn shame. I just hope that someday we shall be once again up-to-date in the study of history. Until then, our voice will never be heard.
His conclusion at the end is excellent!

@kafkafied To know history is hardly dangerous.
The only dangerous thing is to not know history and also deny people its culture and history.
