at the end of Sunwing (SPOILER!) Shade killed Goth, again, saved his people, and got Marina as a mate. they should make an animated series about that one because it had a better ending than this in my opinion. Just thought people should know.

They should make a trilogy of CGI movies based on this series, in the same style as the Gaurdians of Ga'Hoole animation. They should be true to the series, with realistic bats. Just IMO :)
i wish they hadnt made an animation for silverwing. now whenever i read the books again, all i can see is blonde shade, blue chinook, curly haired marina, nerdy orestes and hispanic goth and throbb. AUGH!!!! not hispanic goth NOOOOOOoooOoooo!!!!!

guys i totaly agree with you all who said that this is a horrible animation so i think that they should make a move for each novel and that the movie was more realistic and that the bats looked like actual real bats and not animated but i still think that this was a pretty good animation cause im reading the books right now. ps does anybody know what order the books come in?
Silverwing, Sunwing, Firewing. Darkwing is a prequel, which takes place like 60,000,000 years before Silverwing, back in Prehistoric times. I think they're another book called Moonwing, but I haven't read it yet or even know if it's a real book and not a rumour.
OK this is not even remotely close to how Silverwing the book ended...this is why people should just leave things alone and not capitalize on it and make a TV show...

isnt this one series sort of like sunwing and silverwing put together in 13 episodes?? if you havent read sunwing yet you wouldnt understand. but it features alot of events that took place in sunwing and silverwing.

i wish they would make a series (without changing the animation or voices) about how shade hunted his father down and even went into the jungle. And about how his son went down to the underworl and met Zotz, that would be awsome, but i doubt if it will ever happen.

If the book was about(Ahem, aboot) 300-400 pages(not quite sure) they were able to create a 286 minute show( if each episode was about 22 minutes) despite many of the things that didn't happen in the book. Yeah, it could've been longer, but it also could've been shorter; like 6 episodes.
Yes it does irritate me about how we cut off shows.

I don't understand what you're talking about. All of the Silverwing saga books (as well as Darkwing) are but most of Oppel's books aren't (if that's what you were talking about).
True, Redwall might've been able to go on a little more with other books, but there was no cliffhanger. Plus, it would be very difficult to do several key Redwall moments without blood/gore (it seems harder than Silverwing). The 3 seasons were awkward in certian points because they had to tone down violence.
Another point shown. Yes, I remember watching red wall when I was 12. Redwall did have the tendancy to get abit gorey in the books. But with Silverwing, there was no blood or guts. Or any very vicious violence. I hope someday in the near future the series reappear.

True enough. I have read all the books Hate the ending for the 3rd one, but there is one problem with the series.. they should have CONTINUED IT! But thats what happens with most canadian tv shows, they die off quickly. I am an canadain and almost every canadain show I have watched died off within the 10-30 episode range. I wished they had made alot more episodes.

There aren't many Canadian shows that have a long enough run, and they tend to be some of my favs. I thought Class Of The Titans would've gone longer than it did, but it seems Teletoon didn't sign it for another season (despite with how Studio B left it open for a 3rd, or at least a tv movie to wrap it up). Cybersix and Silverwing both could've gone longer than they did (both ended at 13 eps and have an open ending and continuations were scrapped). It just drives me bonkers.
That is quite true actually. I've lived in Canada my whole life, and one of the weird things I noticed, is that we all seem to make things that only last a certain amount of time. That even happened to me, weirdly enough.
But that's another story, And this should be about the show.

I don't understand what you're talking about. All of the Silverwing saga books (as well as Darkwing) are but most of Oppel's books aren't (if that's what you were talking about).
True, Redwall might've been able to go on a little more with other books, but there was no cliffhanger. Plus, it would be very difficult to do several key Redwall moments without blood/gore (it seems harder than Silverwing). The 3 seasons were awkward in certian points because they had to tone down violence.

Another point shown. Yes, I remember watching red wall when I was 12. Redwall did have the tendancy to get abit gorey in the books. But with Silverwing, there was no blood or guts. Or any very vicious violence. I hope someday in the near future the series reappear.

Goth and Throbb attack Shade and Marina in a thunder storm. Marina has her band bitten off and Goth and Throbb are struck by lightning. Shade and Marina make it to Hibernaculum and set off to find more about Cassiel's vanishing.

True enough. I have read all the books Hate the ending for the 3rd one, but there is one problem with the series.. they should have CONTINUED IT! But thats what happens with most canadian tv shows, they die off quickly. I am an canadain and almost every canadain show I have watched died off within the 10-30 episode range. I wished they had made alot more episodes.

-nods- I agree. There aren't many Canadian shows that have a long enough run, and they tend to be some of my favs. I thought Class Of The Titans would've gone longer than it did, but it seems Teletoon didn't sign it for another season (despite with how Studio B left it open for a 3rd, or at least a tv movie to wrap it up). Cybersix and Silverwing both could've gone longer than they did (both ended at 13 eps and have an open ending and continuations were scrapped). It just drives me bonkers.

That is quite true actually. I've lived in Canada my whole life, and one of the weird things I noticed, is that we all seem to make things that only last a certain amount of time. That even happened to me, weirdly enough.
But that's another story, And this should be about the show.
...I guess one of the positive aspects of this show, is that it was not drastically short.
Think about it (or aboot, if you want me to be a steryotype{I will continue this message in another box})

I think you should read the first book even if you saw the series cause there is a lot of details in the books that are not in the TV show
