His early flicks, Tonio Kruger (sp?) from the Thomas Mann story, and Volker Schloendorf's Young Toerles from the Robert Musil novel, were two of the most "important" movies of their era. He look like a Austrian graf when he is smoking a cigarette.

He has a French name and even though he was born in Germany he speaks perfectly French. in fact, his familly left France during the Revocation of the Edict of Nantes and during the persecution against the Huguenots, his familly left the Catholic France for the Protestant Germany. a part of his scolarity was in French high school and in a French university.

Mind you Lestat was part slink, charm, and deadly, all in one. Although Tom Cruise is a bit clean cut for comfort, I see where you're coming from. As always the music sets the mood, for this video, Nice work, Norah.

Im glad you see that , Yes.. Lestat isn't only good looking :He's all thouse things you said , I always thought is a very difficult character to interpret on the movies , stage etc...He's the brat prince after all, Its a shame he didn't play him, Tom Cruise : Yes Im there with you, is very clean cut to be Lestat though I think He did a decent job considering the dificulty.
