Have Nintendo ever made a 3D Mario Game that has a multiplayer with both Mario and Luigi? (Would split screen be useful for this?)

NSMBW had multiplayer but it was a sidescroller.

@RaidarStudios No. That's not a bad idea, but you cannot possibly do that.

You need to see the whole screen. Even if it had the same mechanics from NSMBW, it would be a horrible idea. Imagine both Mario and Luigi both trying to figure things out, with a small screen. It would be pure chaos.

I would like Luigi to be Player 2, its not fair for Mario to take all the fame, he was in NSMB.Wii so why not let him be player 2, when you want Player 2 to come in Luigi will fly in to the galaxy in the place Mario is, because they are the same they can both spin attack and use same moves, its good but i want some Luigi action

at 0:54 I know that Luma. That Luma must of been Peach's Luma because she was going to give that to mario from the first game but she couldn't so her Luma must of land on that planet or should've say "The First Level."

i can tell u exactly how the coop will be. the luma follows mario around and goes to an enemy when 2nd player points to it and holds A. it can now (thank god) kill enemys by shaking the wii remote. also by pressing A on items (1-ups, coins, etc.) the luma will bring them to mario. I cant wait for it to come out

@zackabilly1 ok like in new super mario bros they are also heading for the same goal. i was thinking of (and i think you'll like this idea) that yes the other player woul play luigi and they would help each other collecting coins and star bits and also he could stomp on enemies and to get the star if the other one touches it the other player would have 5 seconds to get it to, just like in nsmbwii the other player has about 5 seconds to get the flag or the stage just ends
