I've been searching for a live performance of this song for ages, and this is the first video I've see that does the studio recording justice. Most of the live performances of "TheMercySeat" that I've seen on YouTube have been aucostic performances -- and they're all great performances of the song; however, I think this song is at its best when it's sung with anger and passion, and this is definitely the most passionate performance of the song I've found so far.

this is one of Nick Cave's best songs ever - and this version is incredible. I love this almost loop-like singing.
