  • 3:30 Bennet stares at him as if he recognizes him but can't figure it out! Love it!

  • I think Bennett is sort of a hottie too...yes, he's certainly an attractive and sophisticated man. But I also like Arlene...hmmm.

  • Well, I don't know if I'd consider Bennett a "hottie"- he was a nice-looking man, though. And he always seemed so youthful, much younger than his years. John, on the other hand, always looked so much older than he actually was.

  • Even before I saw a younger picture of Bennett Cerf, I still thought he's *smart*-looking. Love the guy!

  • We women know! Bennett is THE BEST!!

  • Dr. Spock?!

What am I missing here? Is Bennett a time traveler?

  • @BitterBosh Dr. Benjamin Spock -- once the foremost authority on child care and rearing.

  • @tjbnyc76 Thanks!

  • Bennet Cerf is so handsome and smart. What I wouldn't give for a man like him!

  • Bennett had the coolest smile.

  • oo la la

  • I'm sorry but I think Bennett Cerf is a hottie! You should see photos of him younger. He's so genuine and adorable and smart...whataguy!

  • @Dclairedelunatic Yes he is..also Paul Winchell is too

  • That was fun, thanks.

  • I think Bennet Serf would have been one of the most likable and interesting person to meet from the panel. A truly classy person. Imagine if he could see how we can view these epidsodes over the Internet so casually. I bet he would have gotten a rather big kick out of that...

  • That was a nice passport picture.

  • Bennett's adorable at 2:19. Dorothy was really getting there at the end.

And I like the non-celebrities, often better than the mystery guests!

  • Classic! :D I guess I said it before, but I really like this concept of 'unknown' guests who have something to do with the panel/Mr.Daly after all.

  • Thanx for posting. I enjoy non-celebrity WML contestants as well as the mystery guests.

The producers had an affinity for this gimmick. Over the years, they found a helicopter policeman who ticketed Cerf's car in Indiana, a Havana croupier who took Dorothy's money, and a commercial botanist who developed the "Arlene Francis" rose.

Too bad the producers did not use bright, funny Paul Winchell more often. He is very good, especially when "Jerry" is cracking wise under the desk.
