Yeah, The Prequels fucking ruined the Vader character. He was authoritarian but never was he as down right evil as in the Prequel Trilogy, unforgivable, irredeemable.
i like the darkside better than the light because well, you seem to be alot more powerful and if you were to go back to the light, you would still have these dark abilities like luke had.
@JayStang4Ever There is a lot of factors that the movies never quite exposed about Vader, he was handicapped and rebuilt on a really archaic suit, the life support system he had could be easily busted by the force lightning from the Emperor who always knew that Vader wanted to betray him but also knew that Vader knew he did not stand a chance and wouldn't dare, the only threat for the Emperor was some other Jedi/Sith that Vader could control, that is why the Emperor wanted Luke to kill Vader.
But what was the "Emperor thinking"? ... did he really believe that the darkside was really going to be more powerful that the blood bound between father and son? ... silly assumption. I do believe Obi-wan let himself get killed and make Luke believe Vader killed his father as well so that Luke would kill Vader hopefully without finding out the truth. What the hell was Obi-wan thinking?
Only things I can think of to change-and it'd be awesome if I had the capability to do these movies, but I've never experimented- is when Luke pulls Vader (now Anakin) off of the railing, after throwing the Emperor in the shaft, is Vader reminiscing of Padme holding him or him holding Padme... And, when the mask comes off, the last few moments before that same mask is put on for the first time, to draw the effect of his new life as Vader; then when the mask is taken off for the last time,
2 seconds before vader takes the emperor. he should of heard a memory of when obi wan said you were the chosen one and then vader kills sidious after.
Beautifully edited--God, 'Jedi' looks gorgeous on DVD. I love how his thoughts are silent and just flash by quickly. Two thumbs up from one fellow Wars fan to another.
