Sra Laura. What you all play is another viable solution. I mean to say that in most other completed versions the voicing is more continuous and it is also played in a different key, namely F concert. Anyway I invite you to take a look at my version for 2 clars, bassethorn and bass clar. which you can find on the cherryvalleymusic site. Just send me an e-mail address then I can mail you the version.
Beautiful, the French system bassethorns have a near German sound. The master of German clarinet playing Karl Leister plays the solo, Only, I wonder who completed the Durchfuehrung of the piece? There are some gaps in bars 39 and 40. The Flothuis, Meylan and Paumgartner completion keep the movement more continuous!
Interesting, Boehm instruments with German mouthpieces... I guess it gives the horn a nice focus. The other way round, German bore with Boehm mouthpieces, works very well too on soprano clarinets...

I am using a cocobolo Orsi Basset Horn with a Hammerschmidt mouthpiece(Luigi) and my sister is using a Selmer Basset Horn with a Wurlitzer mouthpiece
Best wishes
