WMB was not and never claimed to be the Messiah, God in flesh, or anything of that sort. He did, however, use the word 'prophet.' What is a prophet? What were any of the prophets in the Scriptures? They were simply mouthpieces of God, used to tell the church the mind of the Lord. WMB himself even said he was like a dead microphone, only when someone speaks into it can it be used. He was a voice, a mouthpiece for God to speak through, same as any anointed minister who stands and speaks yet today.
