That's the structure for every song for uncreative artists. For example in Aminor it would be Am, G, F, E. In B minor it would be Bm, A, G F#, etc. In Cminor it would be Cm, Bb, Ab, G. Seeing a pattern yet? No? Then don't tell me what I know and don't know about music. Real songwriting isn't formulaic its a creative process.

feel free to disagree with this but heres an analogy. chord progression is like of a good script in a movie. you can say how great the CG sets costumes music and actors are til youre blue in the face but without a good script what you have is a fine tuned, polished lump of feces which is basically just an expensive waste of great CG sets costumes music and actors. for me, if youre not gonna be creative you shouldnt even bother. sure it appeals to the masses but its still not good.

all the music we listen is based on twelve notes and a system called tonality, under that system the amount of chord progressions are limited so the variation in music comes from the simbiotic relationship between his elements. You can be creative using "old" chord progressions like I IV V, i VII VI V, ii V I etc (there are more) unless you listen to music of luciano berio or stockhausen, I´m pretty sure you listen and enjoy songs with those chords.
