I think both Brock Lesnar and Alistair Overeem are really good fighters. I think Brock will take down Overeem but Alistair is really good on the ground too, people forget that... I don't think Brock will be able to make good on the first take down, and on the second attempt I believe Overeem will strike him so much that it will begin to confuse and scare Lesnar until he makes a mistake. I also think Overeem is overly confident and he may make a critical mistake that Brock may expose and exploit.
Your absolutly correct concerning the fight! I like Overeem but Brock will not keep it standing, he will rush him, tackle him and ground and pound, game over! Not to long ago Overeem walked around as a light heavy weight at 205. This will be a easy win for Brock. The sports betting world has it wrong actually. They predict Overeem winning! I think Brock will likely win, there is no doubt Alistaire is a better striker by far, but if you take a look at great wrestlers, GSP, Rashad Evans etc. The grapplers tend to always cancel out the striking, I am sure brock knows since the cain fight that he has no choice but to improve his striking but I can't see overeem throwing brock off when he runs at him for a take down. If alistaire does win I imagine its going to be a knee to the face rather then a punch. Brock as it stands now ishealthy

I agree with your prediction on lesnar>reem, but I think your analysis is a little off. Reem does have a decent ground game. You can't say he doesn't just because of the Werdum fight... Werdum has some of the best BJJ at heavy. Obviously you don't want to fight somebody at the thing they are best at.

i think u have some of the best predictions online. ur one of the few people on here who actually know what they are talking about. as for the fight i think it strictly depends if lesnar can get the take-down and keep him down long enough to ground and pound. if he cant get the take-down i think he is in trouble and will get tko. either way should be interesting.
@enterthearenaus Nothing against you and your prediction was fair. I think this fight is extremely hard for predictions just because it comes down to whether overeem can defend brocks takedowns. Its true he did successfully against werdum, but brock is freakishly fast and strong (and I imagine has learned from the cain fight). Another thing is whether brock has improved his stand up. I see this going to overeem tko, but thats just my opinion.
@SuperiorBeen brock did get cain and couture down, he just didnt control them as well as he did to other people,,this is because they are both wrestlers. Lesnar has alot of power he just has bad technique with strikes and he CAN take a punch, he just doesnt know how to react to it, lesnar is going to DESTROY overeem.
I also picked Dos Santos so don't feel so hard done by. Brock does have great wrestling although I don't think it will prove useful in this fight Alistair has been training at Xtreme Couture with great wrestler's like Couture,Bader,Trigg etc. There is also the fact that Overeem is massively under rated in the BJJ department with 19 out of 31 wins coming that way. The striking is hugely one side Overeem is much better attacking with different weapons elbows, knees and bombs. Overeem within 2 mins
I really don't see the supposed great wrestling from Lesnar. When you can't put much smaller guys down like Cain or Couture than you're not that good of a wrestler. He was exposed by Cain. The unbeatable aura he once had is gone. He was lucky with Carwin also.

The first surgery Brock had was a very small one, in which they HOPED it would help, which obviously it didn't. Brock could of opted to take the surgery he just recently got the first time, but it's a much more risky procedure. However, this most recent surgery he got done will ensure that the stomach disease he had is gone completely. The concern was whether or not his stomach would heal properly, which it has. So as far as I'm concerned Brock is 100% set to go.
Simple, if Lesnar doesn't consistently take Overeem down and keep him there, he will lose. If Overeem keeps it on the feet and stuff the takedowns, he will win. I predict some unexpected things might occur in this fight. Don't be surprised if you see Overeem shoot in for a take down and quick submission. Or, Brock win by an out of the blue KO.

I think both Brock Lesnar and Alistair Overeem are really good fighters. I think Brock will take down Overeem but Alistair is really good on the ground too, people forget that... I don't think Brock will be able to make good on the first take down, and on the second attempt I believe Overeem will strike him so much that it will begin to confuse and scare Lesnar until he makes a mistake. I also think Overeem is overly confident and he may make a critical mistake that Brock may expose and exploit.

I think Brock will likely win, there is no doubt Alistaire is a better striker by far, but if you take a look at great wrestlers, GSP, Rashad Evans etc. The grapplers tend to always cancel out the striking, I am sure brock knows since the cain fight that he has no choice but to improve his striking but I can't see overeem throwing brock off when he runs at him for a take down. If alistaire does win I imagine its going to be a knee to the face rather then a punch. Brock as it stands now ishealthy

I agree with your prediction on lesnar>reem, but I think your analysis is a little off. Reem does have a decent ground game. You can't say he doesn't just because of the Werdum fight... Its true he did successfully against werdum, but brock is freakishly fast and strong (and I imagine has learned from the cain fight). Another thing is whether brock has improved his stand up. I also picked Dos Santos so don't feel so hard done by. Brock does have great wrestling although I don't think it will prove useful in this fight Alistair has been training at Xtreme Couture with great wrestler's like Couture,Bader,Trigg etc. There is also the fact that Overeem is massively under rated in the BJJ department with 19 out of 31 wins coming that way. The striking is hugely one side Overeem is much better attacking with different weapons elbows, knees and bombs. Overeem within 2 mins

@enterthearenaus stay strong in your prediction bro i am glad your not caught up in the hype about overeem now as for me i think the fight can go either way if brock can take overeem down and keep him there the fight is over but if overeem can keep the fight standing it will be a short night for brock remember how everybody was acting as if cain valasquez was unbeatable and jds didnt have a chance and i remember me you and a few other ppl had junior winning ...

@enterthearenaus 2/2 And to be honest i think brock has a better chance at beating jds then Alistair overeem does simply because if brock gets you dont 99percent of the time that means its over overeem is all hype and he is ery beatable he lost to alot of ex ufc fighters like chuck liddel and shogun rua twice and he had a hard time with werdu in there last fight and you remember werdum didnt last 1minute against jds right..lol and badr hari beat overeem in 09

you serious don? you dont remember brock running away from carwins barrage (he was lucky carwin blew his laod.. wow.. LOL) and break dancing against cain? Brock also tried standing with Mir for a bit in the 2nd round at ufc100 got sonned then took him down, Overeem wont give him a chance to take it to the ground, brocks inactivity, striking and gas (your acting as if brock has cain valesquez gas to continue going for take downs) sealed the deal.

@bruiserblu like i said to don...counting brock in is the same as cancelling overeem out. i'm just saying overeem won a k-1 championship man. the only mma fighter to do so. k-1 is physically demanding...no laying down allowed all on the feet. so we're saying the brock will win because of the takedown...but if you think about it brock hasn't even been impressive with his own skill-wrestling. he struggled to take down randy, cain, etc.

it's not about being a brock hater, it's just they built em up and placed him right in an AP math class because he's a 'star' player. there comes a point when they simply can't keep covering for him. after loosing to overeem then what? send him down the rankings where he should've started in the beginning? no they're gonna try an put him in with dos santos. lol...the dream is dead yall. ok?

@heykevinb trhats what im talking about.. im not a brock hater either, like you, its this hype that his been given just because hes a 'draw'. and don, plse dont talk about resumes regarding these 2.. just because reem has lost 11 fights, look at who hes fought, compared to who brock has fought? theres no comparision. Imo, MMA fight records are pretty shitty to judge a fighter by.

The first surgery Brock had was a very small one, in which they HOPED it would help, which obviously it didn't. Brock could of opted to take the surgery he just recently got the first time, but it's a much more risky procedure. However, this most recent surgery he got done will ensure that the stomach disease he had is gone completely. The concern was whether or not his stomach would heal properly, which it has. So as far as I'm concerned Brock is 100% set to go.

Simple, if Lesnar doesn't consistently take Overeem down and keep him there, he will lose. If Overeem keeps it on the feet and stuff the takedowns, he will win. I predict some unexpected things might occur in this fight. Don't be surprised if you see Overeem shoot in for a take down and quick submission. Or, Brock win by an out of the blue KO.

@4iamu problem is lesnar hasn't been consistent with takedowns...he always has to work for them despite his size. if he tries to take overeem down he's gonna eat knee. overeem is famous for that...
