Top Speeds of some hyper cars from fastest to slowest (all in the stock forms):

SSC Tuatara: 320+MPH

SSC Ultimate Aero: 270+MPH - TT Edition: 300+MPH

Bugatti Veyron: 258MPH - SS Edition: 263-268MPH

Keonigsegg CCX: 245+MPH

McLaren F1: 241MPH (The fastest naturally aspirated car. AKA no turbo or superchargers.)

McLaren F1 LM: 225MPH (But it allows much more stability and handling with the added spoiler and splitter.)

It set an official speed record of 258MPH (which still holds, because the Veyron SS record wasn't set on the record setting track, so it can't be validated). And when the Ultimate Aero set that 258MPH record, they only ran it once, and they didn't work on it for an hour, so it could go much faster. The Veyron SS requires engineers to work on it for hours before it can even hit 260MPH on a super ring that doesn't count for records.

And the F1 can be tuned to go well over 280MPH in the game, but it get's so highly unstable once it hits 220MPH that you have to put a wing and a spoiler on it. That makes you have the downforce that allows you to have stability, but you loose the overall top speed due to the drag they cause.

In the end, 272 is about the fastest it can go. Thank you for the video.

i can't even drive the mclaren down that straight without crashing,i had tried loads of options with tuning and i also left stock me and several others good not get it down the straight without crashing we do have all driving aids turned off and i can handle everyother car fine but with the mclaren around the 170-200mph mark the car goes crazy

@MMAOpenForum That's the problem with the F1, it's smooth for a higher top speed, but it makes it EXTREMELY unstable at high speeds. Why do you think the SSC UA & Bugatti Veyron use air flaps and huge wings?

@MrMasterdavid You can go faster on Le Mans if you go down the straight in the wrong direction, as it's slightly more downhill.

@MrYassengreg The Bugatti Veyron SS only goes 268-270MPH tuned in FM4. And the Veyron handles like the Hummer. So STFU about the Veyron.

gordon murray predicted the F1 will do 281mph with only 1000hp. So Forza 4 is a bit conservative. With the same HP as the tuatara, the mac will reach 305mph.

@xXhypeboyXx McLaren is actually putting together a successor to the F1 in 2014, look it up. There's no pictures of it yet but it has like 800hp, I don't think it's getting built to beat the top speed record though, I think they're just trying to make an overall car. I agree with you though, if mclaren wanted to I'm sure they could build something faster than all of the other competition considering they managed to make a naturally aspirated car that could reach 240 mph in 1993.

@JGMRACING89 268mph to be precise, which is exacly 428.8 km/h also the mclaren is going 272mph (435 km/h not over 500) and it's upgraded - the Veyron can do 428 untuned so with turbo it can beat it easily so you dont talk when you don't understand simple maths

I never payed much attention to the boost, until I noticed it in your video. I haven't noticed anywhere to change it, and I dont think you can. 7.9 lbs is less than what a lot of stock turbo'd hatchbacks run, so I was just kinda surprised.

@B0SSNINE well 7.9 PSI on a stock SR20 T25 turbo isnt the same as 7.9PSI on the GT35R turbo i had in my hatch or 7.9PSI in a 122mm turbonetics turbo.

@alwyzTRIGGAhappy Looks like you could've easily gone a bit quicker if you tuned it up a bit.

Tip: lengthen 6th gear, Increase: final drive ratio, tire pressures, front end downforce, spring stiffness.

Decrease: Rear end downforce and ride height.

Try adding in a diffuser and low profile tires (they come with large rims) as well, I'm more of a GT5 freak so I wouldn't know if they're available.

Tweak those out and then see how you do,.

@alwyzTRIGGAhappy Increasing the final drive ratio and lengthening 6th gear should've had the opposite effect lol i.e trade off acceleration for speed. Well, sometimes it isn't an exact science - try doing the opposite and see how that works out.

Maybe you're brushing up against some sort of a virtual speed limit?
