Hello, David, these lessons are truly great, you cover an amazing range of topics. I have what might seem like an easy question: As you move up the fingerboard, how does your bowing change? I have a hard time getting a good sound when playing 6, 7 & thumb positions. Thanks a lot.
@Ironboat1951 - I'm not David, but I think he'd say something similar to me : ) Basically, when you place a finger on the string, you're effectively shortening it, so as you move further up the fingerboard you'll want to in turn move your bow closer to the bridge to keep the same *relative* position. It isn't precise, but this is the general idea. Hope that helps.
Thank you!!!! This helped.
