ITV are axing the Bill as of next year. Not much wonder - they messed around with the formula (changed it's style, i.e by playing music over it). The producers at the Bill deserve everything they get.

Well an example of an event from the past that I think a lot of people would like to see changed - Kerry's death. How could that be changed - she's still shot, but she survives which would bring up an alternative ending on could've happened if she did survive. Like will she still expose Gabriel and Andrea? But will she do it before Gabriel can hatch up another evil plan?

Fanfictions as in fan interpretations of characters that are in no way linked to the writers who create or develop them? Smithy and Kerry died the minute Gabriel Kent snipered her to death and thankfully so. Alex Walkinshaw brings much more depth to Smithy in storylines such as this and Witness than he ever did partnered with Kerry.

I wouldn't say I'm a true Smithy fan, I've been very on and off with his character since his arrival. I think he was at his strongest 1999 - 2001, downright horrible under Paul Marquess and generally acceptable with occasional brillance nowadays. He's not the Smithy he once was because different producers portray him differently, the effect of Kerry's death hasn't been touched on in years because it's of no relevance anymore and has no place in The Bill as it is now.
