a fight will be stopped if helmets are ripped off during a fight .. and also minor penalties will be given to players who remove their own helmets before a fight.

Just so everyone who didnt already knows this...which im sure most dont...when white lost his helmet he was looking into the crowd or as some people refer to it "space" because he didnt want to get hit in the eye not because he just got "rocked" which he did take a good hit. A couple years back he almost lost his vision in one eye and almost ended his career and hasnt fought since then. This is why he was trying to keep his eyes and head as far out of phanuefs reach as possible

If you pay attention parise knew that Phaneauf was going to try some bs hit so he got rid of the puck and phaneuf still hit him because he was trying to make an impression in his first game. when the rules change in the near future
a fight will be stopped if helmets are ripped off during a fight .. and also minor penalties will be given to players who remove their own helmets before a fight.

@eternal000 I thought the same thing watching it live but seeing it here you can see White does not remove his helmet, Phaneuf does it for him. If they wanted to do it without the caps White who instigated should have removed his first. I don't think he would complain over this.

I dunno whats the problem, white didn't bother taking his helmet off either, it was ripped off or it would have been visor vs visor. Phaneauf was just smart and didn't want to punch helmet. Humaster says it's a fair fight.

Just so everyone who didnt already knows this...which im sure most dont...when white lost his helmet he was looking into the crowd or as some people refer to it "space" because he didnt want to get hit in the eye not because he just got "rocked" which he did take a good hit. A couple years back he almost lost his vision in one eye and almost ended his career and hasnt fought since then. This is why he was trying to keep his eyes and head as far out of phanuefs reach as possible

If you pay attention parise knew that Phaneauf was going to try some bs hit so he got rid of the puck and phaneuf still hit him because he was trying to make an impression in his first game. It was a pointless hit to parise who is there best player and white mentions in an interview how he started the fight because he wanted to protect parise.
