  • I was there just for Danica!!!! My first time at Daytona and WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!!

  • shes a indy driver, nascar driver, and a drifter!?

  • I love all the haters on Danica and showing no respect to a woman because they can't get laid!

  • Beautiful save

  • So...because she purposefully let go of the steering wheel, that means she meant to do that? Let go of the steering wheel...a move that signifys the belief in a coming impact with the wall?

  • @MurphyMonster It's a trained response in open wheel racing. The force of the impact of the front wheels with the wall can be transmitted back through the steering linkage and break the drivers hands, wrists, or arms.

  • @MurphyMonster no because she is used to indy car, and they have to let go of the wheel, when they might wreck, cause the force of the wheel could break their wrist, its a natural indy car reaction

  • @dilljr124666 Which leads us to believe that she did not save the racecar because she thought she was going to wreck.

  • Man I bet her tampon went out of the pussy in that spin lol (`)

  • So stupid fuck .. NASCAR is for retards

  • @moeali777 fuck you asshole

  • @moeali777 okay then i want you to try and drive a car at 200 mph plus with 43 other cars and win. your the retard

  • @moeali777 Engineering one of theese cars requires a bacheolers degree in engineering. Driving one of theese takes the strenght of a football player, a extreeme amount of endurance, and a ton of knowledge and experience to know what to do in a given situation. Apparently, you lack knowledge of this, and I do, and NASCAR is for me, thus making you a far greater retard.

    You=Dumbfuck.

  • @K9RacingAndStuff I know that ... and the funny thing is its a lot of talent and hardwork for a stupid cause.... you're the retard

  • @moeali777 Like your trolling.

  • @K9RacingAndStuff LOL so you're not a retard after all.

  • Thats how danica's indy experienc3e in turning and stuff helps her in nascar

  • Maybe Nelson were asked by the team to deliberate crash in to her instead of crash himself? ...

  • Boooooa Nelsinho.....

  • nelson pique jr. tut tut tut

  • You let go of the wheel before you hit the wall in an Indy car so the steering wheel doesn't break your wrists or hands....

  • That's..... gross. Anyways, Nelson quit trying to be like your dad! he had skills to back his aggression, all you have now are fenders! Enjoy your slow and painful fade into the truck series' mid-field!

  • i was there at the track when this happened! :D

  • That was a skilled save.

  • @middletech what? That was a LUCKY save!

  • I HOPE DANICA STOPS RACING BEFORE SHE GETS HURT DOING THIS STUPID SHIT....THERE ARE SAFER THINGS TO COMPETE AT AND MAKE MONEY DOING THAN DRIVING AROUND WAITING TO BE KILLED IN A CAR WRECK

  • oh i suppose flavio told you to crash on purpose nelsinho...

  • Lightning McQueen style :P

  • THE FUNNY THING IS THAT ALL THE GUYS WHO BAD MOUTH DANICA WOULD DOO DOO THEIR PANTS OUT THERE.......IF THEY EVER GOT THE CHANCE TO BE OUT THERE....WHICH THEY WONT

  • some people sure are jelly.

  • I always laugh when someone says someone can't drive sitting in front of a computer screen like he or she knows their shit. Lets see one of you get out there and do better!

Pfff, Internet. Where people can talk shit and not back it up... Great place!

  • DANICUNT WILL FAIL EVEN HARDER AND FASTER THAN IN INDY CAR!

  • @SL8R71 Such an ignorant comment... If she failed in Indycars then how did she end up in NASCAR. It's ok if you "hate" her, but if you post shit that isnt true then that makes you a troll.

  • @xxCrazyEights88xx ITS CALLED MARKETING AND BRINGING MONEY TO A TEAM DUMBFUCK INBRED!KINDA LIKE THAT CUMDUMPSTER DIRTY WHORE YPU CALL MOMMY SUCKING DICK AT THE TRUCKSTOP TO BRING HOME MONEY SO YOU CAN HAVE THE INTERNET FUCKBOY!

  • @SL8R71 Wow another ignorant comment, keep them coming its entertaining me.

  • @SL8R71 So what are you SL8R71 ten? eleven? and the question is does your mommy know you're on her computer? Danica is probably 5ft. tall, maybe 105 Ibs. would give you a lap and a half lead and beat you driving in reverse in a 2 lap race.

  • She can't drive for shit. She just got lucky after all the crashes she's caused.

  • how is letting go of the steering wheel "indy car style?"

  • @Lights0ut1109 Everybody does that because the steering wheel is jerking around and holding on to it could break your wrist. DW isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.

  • @Lights0ut1109 I'm going to presume that's what skilled Indycar drivers do to right their cars in spins and not over-correct.

  • @Lights0ut1109 in IndyCars, they use centerpoint steering, and being that the wheels are open, when a driver knows they are going to crash, they let so the wheel doesnt spin and snap their wrists

  • @Lights0ut1109 IndyCar drivers release the wheel before impact to prevent in juries to their fingers/hands/wrists.

  • @Lights0ut1109 they let go of the steering wheel cause the crash might turn the wheels of the car hard eventually the steering wheel will turn hard which might cause the drive a minor fracture or something on their wrists

  • @Lights0ut1109 in an indycar, the downforces and wrecks are so severe that if you are holding onto the steering wheel during a quick full speed spin or wheel to wheel crash, you have a very good chance of breaking a wrist or arm, so indycar drivers are trained to let go of the steering wheel...in a stock car, this is also an option when the car is out of control to bring it back into control, it happens in very rare and specific circumstances, like the ones in this spin

  • @Lights0ut1109 You have to let go or those things will break your wrists

  • @HRFTG but how though?

  • @Lights0ut1109 The way the drivers hold the wheels is not like Nascar. The way the steering boxes are, the wheels are just so twitchy and when they hit a wall they spin like crazy and if you're holding onto it when it snaps it will snap your wrist.

  • @Lights0ut1109 Because that's what open wheel drivers do when they know they're about to wreck. They do that because those steering wheels can be snatched one way in an instant and it's not a regular steering wheel, it's kind of like the "butterfly steering wheel" where the top and bottom isn't there.

  • @Lights0ut1109 When you spin in Indycar you have to let go of the wheel because when it comes back the wheel will come back with such force it'll destroy your hands

  • @Lights0ut1109 when you lose the control you let the hands off the wheel and you let them tight on your torso, it´s a maneuver that´s is also used on F1

  • @Lights0ut1109 In open wheeled cars, (although it can happen in any car) if the wheel makes contact with a wall, violent forces can be transferred into the steering wheel and potentially break the driver's hands/wrists. Although bodywork makes this a rarer event in stock cars, Danica's instinct as someone used to driving open wheeled cars would be to let go of the steering wheel if she was certain she could not save the car. Brilliant job from her in this incident.

  • @Lights0ut1109 You're an idiot.

  • I've never really given thought of her as being a good driver, but this changed my mind. over half the drivers in Sprint Cup can't make that good of a save.

  • She's always had great car control and does well on ovals but she is just not fast on road courses for whatever reason.

  • @UltimateWheelman Well that must've went away when she ran in Montreal this year. She was kicking ass in it 'til the final few laps.

  • @nascarfanatic2425 True. I was surprised by her performance there.

  • @UltimateWheelman As was I. I was saying to myself, "I'll be excited to see Danica in action, but I don't think she's going to do real well in Montreal." Then she ran top-10 a good bit of the race, and then them stinkin' brakes gave out.

  • The son of NELSON PIQUET is racing around circles. Pathetic

  • @NOXXism fuck you

  • That was a great save.

  • Kyle Petty is an idiot. This woman is a naturally talented driver and deserves to be in NASCAR more than half of the people that are running today. Danica didn't win a lot at Indy, but for the most part she always finished very well. Take a look at the stats of all the Indy drivers and they fair much worse than her. Then Kyle barks like he knows what the fuck he's talking about. Coming from a guy who could buy a win and lived off his father's name, he should shut the fuck up.

  • @CourtyardPigeon couldnt agree with you more i cant stand kyle petty he has no tallent being a comentator led alone critisize other drivers when he hasnt raced in what 3 years.( and for some reason i cant spell tonight massive brain fart)

  • Only people who drive REAL race cars know that what she did was all skill and very impressive. All other people who think its luck know nothing of race car driving.

  • @Cloudstrrifee, Congrats! You passed the Stupid Fucking Idiot Test :P

  • yeah let go of the wheel. great car control. i think that was more luck than car control.

  • @foxboy64 if you think that then you know nothing of racing sometimes you can grab the wheel and let it move then grab it once where you need it then it will almost automaticly straighten the car up

  • @ojoj626 i know of this. its often used in drifting, but most of the time when its intentional they don't take their hands completely away from the thing and hold them up in what i presume was panic.

  • @Cloudstrrifeee well looks like you're the fucking idiot

  • they should have parked Piquet Jr for the rest of the race because there were only like 10 laps left I think. Now, i'm not a Danica supporter by any means, but that was just flat out ridiculous exactly what tony did to Matt Kenseth back in 06

  • I love how many men hate her.

    It's fucking hilarious.

And I love how many women are jealous of her.

    That's also fucking hilarious.

Women are pointless and are pissed off that one of them thinks she has the right to do something with her life, and men are pissed off that one of these pointless creatures managed to achieve their own dream, which they themselves are too shit to accomplish.

  • @05Rachel

    I love how you overgeneralize.

    It's fucking hilarious.

  • @ShiningNow

Yeah well. At least I'm right.

  • @ShiningNow I don't overgeneralize, at least I try not to. But this is clearly the case.

  • Troololololololoo

  • eh. i dunno. i dont see how its a save. she spun out. she completely lost control of the car. ive seen other saves, via greg biffle and jamie mcmurray. but, thats my opinion. if you dont agree, thats fine. im just sayin, i personally dont think she saved it.

  • @WildAndCrazySkits if she didnt save it she would be in the wall, or completely backwards

  • when she let go of the wheel she braced herself to hit the wall, and then grabbed it again when she realized she wasnt going to hit it... and he DID over corrected massively over and over once she was trying to save it after avoiding the wall... the only reason it didnt do anything is because she was on the grass and didnt have the grip to actually affect the car in any major way... she was just lucky with the way the banking, in combination with the angle that her car was sliding on, saved it.

  • @123aellis omfg why do u hate on her? she is a great driver.she knew what she was doing. if it were u u woulda hit both the walls some how cause u suck monkey nuts.

  • @HK655 u don't know who you are talking to... i know racing, i know what happened to her, and i know how she should have reacted.

  • this isn't even that great. it's just because she's hot

  • "the car almost corrected itself"? uhhh, the car DID correct itself dumb announcer. Why does everyone give this girl so much credit for nothing

  • @Cloudstrrifeee This is definitely ARCA... You know... the race BEFORE she ran in the Nationwide Series...

  • Comment removed

  • @TwahLah You'd think that would be obvious from the big "ARCA" logos on the windshields.

  • @TwahLah i was a retard....meh.

  • @TwahLah yeh it even says arca below the roof number

  • Comment removed

  • @Cloudstrrifeee look on the windshield it says ARCA not Nationwide

  • @Cloudstrrifeee you call us the fucking idiots? learn your series before you assume things dumbass.

  • @Cloudstrrifeee No, you're the fucking idiot. First of all, the 2010 Drive For COPD 300 was on ESPN, not FOX. second of all, Nelson Piquet Jr is NOT in the Nationwide Series and finally, TONY EURY JR IS HER CC IN ARCA TOO FAGGOT.

  • @cpcomedy314 8====D

  • @Cloudstrrifeee Do you not see the GIANT hoosier logo on the spoiler?? or the hoosier tires? you are the fucking idiot my friend!

  • @Cloudstrrifeee yup. the lucas 5 car up front is not bobby gerhardt at all is it.

  • @Cloudstrrifeee HEERRREEES YOUR SIGN ( you are stupid) wear it with pride:)))))

  • @Cloudstrrifeee too bad you're the fucking idiot, its ARCA, learn before you talk... even says on the top of the windsheild.

  • @Cloudstrrifeee no your the fucking idiot if you were a NASCAR fan you would be able to tell the difference between arca and NWS

  • @skatergt388 learn to not reply to an old ass comment nigger

  • @Cloudstrrifeee And you learn not to be stupid and im not black bitch!

  • @skatergt388 why so serious on youtube? LOL

  • @Cloudstrrifeee Since when has NASCAR ran Hoosier tires...

  • @Cloudstrrifeee ur the fucking idiot read the windshields of the cars it says ARCA

  • cant say that wasn't good driving on her part.

  • he's like "get back in the kitchen woman" lol

  • Danika Patrick is the Anna Kournikova of racing.

  • @HitlerOnTheRoof wow do you go to each of her videos and post the same thing?

  • @ericknava86 It's the only thing I think of when I see her drive. What can I say?

  • @HitlerOnTheRoof, I don't think that's a fair comparison. If Anna had been the only female on the men's tour, then maybe. Anna Kournikova never won against people she was expected to beat and nowhere near her skill level. I don't think anybody would argue that Danica's skill level is greater than her comrades either in IndyCar or Nascar.

  • She sould have Vagisil car :D

  • I can say one thing: she might be back this year!!! She's doing fine so far... Has to improve her qualifying though, hasn't started higher than 18th in IndyCar.

  • @PhilipTheBigOne Mind you it was all road courses until Indy, and it's been known she doesn't like RCs all that much.

  • @raichiotto: Said it after her Brazil crash: " I can't wait for Indianapolis". I can't wait either!!!

  • Those guys want stats? Danica hasn't had a DNF in the IndyCar Series in 36 races!!! That's OVER 2 years (last was March '09 at St. Pete) and it is an ALL-TIME RECORD!!! Has finished in the top 8 in 5 of the 6 Indy 500 races she has taken part in.

The drop in results came because of the Indy-NASCAR double-duty... Last year, she entered Indy 16th in the points (with an oval), now she's 11th (one to go until Indy). Also in NASCAR, she didn't have a top 30 by now last year, now she has 3 top 17!!!

  • I like how impressed the commentators are about "car control... you dun got it er ya don't!" ... lol no car control can be learned. It was impressive, but all drivers outside of NASCAR and drag racing know something about car control.

  • Nelson Piquet Junior is still a dirty driver i see

  • danica is sexy

  • if this was k.b or harvick, or edwards or gordon, etc. i dont think they would have spun. they would have saved and and walk away.

  • Ridiculous save?????? ja, perfect driver.

  • we need more female drivers like this on the roads!! :D

  • have you ever seen a damn pro drifter? they can do reverse entries and come out straight. this isn't that damn amazing

  • @acasha101918

pro drifters arent going at 300km/h either... far from it actually

  • @stido still more takes more skill

  • @stido ARCA's not quite that fast.

  • I wanna fuck Danica in her race car...

  • congrats to Danica for finishing 4th in yesterdays race.

  • How was that a "ridiculous" save?

  • I'm not a fan but she is a hell of a driver

  • Danica did a very good job here. Managing to save that one was very hard ^^ and she did it !

  • one word.... Proven.

  • She's ok - no reason to hate on her.

She's not world class, and probably never will be, but she's proving a point that some women can drive "competitively.

By the same token some 18 year old lads can drive "safely".

Both are rare - but they both happen. Live with it.

  • @MrButterjam lol wow I am kinda being a troll.... Im just gonna stop commenting so I dont look like a even bigger douche.

  • @MrButterjam dude chill I was just making a point...

  • Funny. She can simply lose control of her car and let go of the steering wheel, and people will go crazy about how great a driver she is. But when i saw Ken Schrader weave around 5 spinning cars, driving underneath Stewarts car while he is airborne, and ultimately avoiding a 20 car pile, nobody really notices.

  • sadly nelson piquet jr dunno nothing else but crashing and making others crash

  • to all those that think this is luck, stop being trolls and accept that she has great car control, shes a professional, I bet 90% of us would smack the wall, even I probably would.

  • @xxCrazyEights88xx hah agreed, and 98% of Nascar drivers would to.

  • @xxCrazyEights88xx BTW, letting go of the steering wheel is not an accurate example of car control.

  • @MurphyMonster No but that Phil guy pointed out at the end that she didnt overcorrect because the steering weel went strait, and I didnt mean to seem like an asshole in my comment, I just wanted to point out that people were going too far with the luck thing.

  • @MurphyMonster Yes, it can be. If you've ever seen a rally race, you'll see that letting-go is used by every driver at some point. Because rally is about loss of traction sometimes, this technique is used to get the wheel back from O.L. as fast as possible. Notice, she lost traction, and used it. (meant to) I bet she didn't do this during the rest of her race. Because she meant to do it, and was successfull, it's goog car control. It's actually awesome car control, and you're jealous. wawa

  • @KeggsBD Sorry, but this is NASCAR. And the the only Rally Driver i know in NASCAR wrecks all the time. Maybe if she studied stock-car driving techniques, she could get a top ten. And jealousy? Well, when i decide to become a slut and a tool to make money off of, then i think i would be jealous, because she sits upon that throne.

  • @KeggsBD And im not jealous. Im just pissed because someone like Schrader, Marlin, or Martin had to work their ass off for a win, or could just do something amazing with a racecar, but she doesnt even have to finish a race and is still the best driver in NASCAR.

  • @MurphyMonster Wow, here are the facts:She started in carts. (also winning championships) She moved to England at 10 yrs age to get into the next level cars. She raced For. Ford, For. Vauxhall, Barber Dodge, Toyota Atlantic. She races I.R.L. (finished seasons 10th 7th 6th and 5th - all top tens) She raced Rolex Series. She races N.A.S.C.A.R. (1 win) So, she's done everything all your favorite drivers have. Worked her ass off as you say. What's your problem there?

  • @MurphyMonster And, certainly no-one has said she's the best driver in any series. She's an average driver at the top level. Which is still a good driver. I remember hearing that she was telling the younger I.R.L. drivers to get the speed up from 190 to over 200 through the corners at Indy. She said go against your instinct, it feels a bit shaky at 190 but sticks better at over 200. (downforce)

  • @MurphyMonster That statement proves she's got bal*s, and c'mon you would never get to 200 through the corners at Indy without at least a small career in racing. No-one would. Seems like you could, but you really couldn't. You'd smush yourself on the wall just like all the other bitter armchair male ego drinking comment just to make a comment type folks. So, if it is not jealousy, then it's...nah it's jealousy.

  • @KeggsBD The point im trying to get across is that she is only in that car because she is a woman, and there are other drivers that could be in that car that could do better. They are trying to win, there only trying to get more people to watch NASCAR. And by the best driver in NASCAR, i mean that she is talked about on TV like the best driver in NASCAR. And please tell me, im dying to know how many wins she has in total before Indy Car.

  • @MurphyMonster I have no Idea how many wins she had, not really a big fan of hers. Just originally said it was a great save which it was. The way she saved it was the same way anyone would. If it had been a guy, it would have still been a great save. We've gotten far away from the issue. Any business would exploit a hot women like N.A.S.C.A.R. and Indy does. That's American capitalism at work. You think they would rather put Martin's ugly old mug as the face of N.A.S.C.A.R.?

  • @MurphyMonster I agree with you that the coverage is unwarranted based on her performance. But, this is typical of advertising. She still paid her dues like everyone else. Also, these pro drivers are the best of the rich kids, not the best of the world because the sport is so expensive to get into. If racing was in public schools like Football & Basketball, you and I would probably be top drivers, discussing this over cocktails on our way to the next race.

  • this is arca

  • lol "indy car style". Gee wonder where that came from

  • DW forgot to mention one thing, and that is LUCK. but. he was probably just pandering to the audience, trying to hype her up.

  • sick save

  • I was glad DW was covering this race because I think he helped lots of people understand what an awesome job she actually did durring this...there are people out there that may have thought she just got lucky but that was all driver right there,,,awesome

  • dw ...means she got lucky

  • Not hard to do. Lock up the brakes, turn the wheel. That's all there is to it. She's nothing special.

  • @F1V1 you're jealous vause you would have crashed into the wall ^^

  • @F1V1 She may not be rolling in success yet but I highly doubt your ass could save that car like that stfu please.

  • @jraybay Kay bud. Set me up a deal to drive that car then, and I'll prove you wrong.

  • @F1V1 You missed a lot of this vid.

  • @psi2hi No I really didn't, trust me. I know enough about race cars to know that if you lock up the brakes and turn away you're less likely to hit it. And any driver can do it, not just Danica. Be honest with me, what has she ever accomplished anywhere aside from her 1 fluke of an IRL win?

  • @F1V1 She is the only nascar driver I ever seen turn the wheel all the way to the left like that (being as sideways as she was). All other drivers I see panic and just turn into the slide (wheel to the right) and end up destroying their car. I'm not a fan of hers but she recovered when most wouldn't. I race cars for a living also.

  • How did she learn this? Because she's an INDYCAR driver.

  • Thats some crazy car control skills, i race stock cars and i do let off the steering wheel at that type of situations, im good but shes even better. No woder why shes top5 drivers of IndyCar Series.

  • @kseagirl

Where's kyle, carl, brad, and harvick at then?

  • @TwahLah Also, it's on speed, not ESPN, and Bobby Gerhart is leading.

  • @TwahLah

Even if this was the Nationwide series then they would be up front!! Just saying.

  • @kseagirl you're an idiot.

  • @kseagirl no moron becuase Arca Runs on Hoosiertires

    do ur resherch

  • @kseagirl this aint Nationwide. Which planet are you from?

  • @kseagirl It's ARCA bud

  • @kseagirl This is ARCA not Nationwide two totally different series.

  • @kseagirl This was ARCA. Not a part of Nascar at all. It's a bit like the third tier of Stock Cars. Danica only did this race as she'd never raced a stock car before and she's now races in the Nascar Nationwide Series. yle and co. mainly race in the Sprint Cup but often go in the Nationwide as well.

  • @kseagirl Hoosier tires. It's ARCA.
