You know, it's not till later that you realise that Tim and his brother were quite good song writers. I mean, I'm a Maori and of course I'm gonna like what I like and when I was growing up I couldn't stand Split Enz until their last song 'A Message to my Girl' which I think is a classic, just like this one and a few that they've done. Thanks for the memories Tim and Neil.
Muzak's FM1 also played "Persuasion" from the same CD, as well as "Not Even Close" from 1989 s/t album. I don't recall hearing the other single from it, thouugh (How'm I Gonna Sleep).
Yup, Tim was simply a STUNNER...real eye and ear candy for sure! Have you seen the video for "Spiritual Hunger" with him and PHIL JUDD dancing down the street side by side? OMG they both are TOO GORGEOUS for mere words!
hi baby howdy, fancy you meeting you here ! i just heard this song on 10@10 today with the now transplanted dave morey. how are things ? are you still writing rock and roll reviews? hope things are going well. best wishes, daniel
It tickles to see a comment from someone else who associates this song with 10@10. I didn't hear if Annalisa did a Pride set this year, now that she's doing the show - I hope so!
This is a perfect example of why I LOVE YOUTUBE:ultra rare music videos you can't see anywhere else! American Mtv never gave Tim's excellent music videos the kind of rotation they deserved; many never got played at all here in the USA and this terrific video is a prime example. THANK YOU for psoting this!!!
I have only heard this song on Muzak FM1, they've been playing it since the mid 90s, everyone who works in highrise offices knows this tune as FM1 is a very popular channel in offices.
I worked for years in a grocery store which used Muzak. I didn't know the channel name at the time; and I remember hearing this in current rotation in 1993 and still heard it on occasion for years to come.
Anyway, I never knew who did this song until I found Tim's "Before & After" CD. Upon hearing the intro, it took me back...
only 38 views. tragic. so many people in the world think that the onnly music that exists is in the charts... you're missing out folks!

The Finns are pure songwriters. I must be getting old. I just felt a wave of nostalgia wash over me.
