Hi great video. I'm trying to put together an FPV system for the first time. Is there a good kit or video somewhere that I can use to assemble a system with.
Considering line of sight and the people flying fpv over highways the window on this tech could be slammed shut fast by faa imo. Irresponsible fpv will be heavy fines in future if not the banning of such hobbies in North America. Hit a motorcycle because of a cheap made esc could be heavy liability.
I'm curious about your camera and your transmitter/receiver. The camera is 900mhz which comes with its own tx and rx. The fatshark goggles are 5.8ghz and come with their own tx and rx. Which do you use? Can you plug the 900mhz camera into the 5.8 ghz transmitter? I'm a little confused. I'm looking to get started in FPV. Thanks so much!
This is outdated...the newest gopro firmware allows the use of the GoPro for recording AND a live video feed at the same time...so you can record and navigate with ONE camera(the gopro) So if you don't really care about pan/tilt(and it is not necessary due to the gopro's super wide angle lense(almost TOO wide...a 2.8 lense change is better IMO) just run the gpro to your vtx.
You know the hobbyking fpv plane flies like crap, you can't just tell everyone it flies amazing because hobbyking is paying you, make them make better stuff by doing honest reviews.
@pensfaninstockholm sorta, because if you can point the pros and cons on the stuff from your sponsor then the company and the viewers/buyer will benifit because... (breathe)... the people viewing may want to buy it more or less, which urges the company to fix the problem and helps the company to find out what they can do to help fix a problem if there is one.
The motor used in this review is not available for sale any more, any other motor recommendations? And props too I guess. Looking for a slow fly setup.
this comment was posted earlier, hopping his does not get burried i re-posted it.

Can you please do a review on the FPV gear you used? I noticed you had replied to another individual who made a similar request 4 months ago saying "it's coming". A LOT of guys wanna buy the HK FPV but they are a little hesitant since they haven't seen a review yet. Can you PLEASE do a review? Thanks
while in Google Earth over your field you plan to fly in, if you go CTRL + ALT + A , it will take you to the Google Earth flight simulator in their program that is unadvertised, and you can actually do simulated FPV over anywhere you select in Google Earth. It will even work better if you plug in your simulator transmitter so you can have your joystick, instead of arrow keys.
How about a review of that amphibious ICON with FPV gear, I'm sure there are plenty out thee who would love this, I use a trex 600 heli as a cam ship & also a 50cc SU26.
The problem with this aircraft is the vertical stabilator. The aircraft goes to the right side when you gives full throttle. Also in full throttle the aircraft leaning to the left for flying stright with full throttle. For fixing the problem you have to extend the vertical stabilator with 5-6 inches or more.
Nice plane and I love your reviews. FPV will be the end of RC flying as we have come to now and love it though. I know you guys are using it for fun but, some will not.
Watch the FPV New Youk City Youtube Video. You'll see what I mean.
I would like to share that you did not cover the fact that the wing incodence is way off on this model wich causes it to drag its tail like it has worms. Easy fix about 9mm up in the back of the wing or the same down on the front. Now it flys like a champ and will actually glide. You guys do a great job for the most part, but dont get to wraped up in trying to be on film, Do the job, I feel that you knew something was wrong in the first 10 secs. If not you need more practice. Thanks.
Thanks for the video. Good info... Just got my epp fpv in the mail. the box was busted up and the wing tips damages a little. There was also a few cracks to the CF boom. Nothing I can't repair but disappointed I have to take it to the hangar as soon as I got it.
Great videos - consistently excellent! Thanks for your time and passion in sharing what you love. You're definitely sparking interest with people that have *no* background so future "from the ground up" videos would be terrific.
i didnt relise how inexpensive this is. the only thing that cost a lot of money is the goggles, which u can go without, and the GoPro, which u can go without
Ive got this puppy sitting on my shelf and im eager to try it, but im a bit afraid of it due to a bad experience with my first "big" airplane a few weeks ago. Up untill now I was flying planes no bigger then 35" span, and the 55" piper cub I tried out two weeks ago scared the bajebees outta me. Do you have to wrangle this one through banked turns with a ton of rudder aswell, or does it just go with the flow? The cub has a full body and is a traction prop, so thing might be different on this one.
I too am very anxious to see a review on the camera/Tx gear. There is a lot of debate out there on what frequency is best, and what to worry about with general interference as well as airplane and video compatibility issues. I hope you cover all the bases. I'll be putting back some cash for that plane and camera system, or would 1.3mhx be better, or 2.4, or HAM band???? ugh.
Very nice. - I just got into rc this summer. - Still learning to fly and having fun. - If it ever starts to get boring I'll spice things up with fpv :)
