  • is it possible to make the range longer like 6-7 miles?

  • Hi great video. I'm trying to put together an FPV system for the first time. Is there a good kit or video somewhere that I can use to assemble a system with.

  • Considering line of sight and the people flying fpv over highways the window on this tech could be slammed shut fast by faa imo. Irresponsible fpv will be heavy fines in future if not the banning of such hobbies in North America. Hit a motorcycle because of a cheap made esc could be heavy liability.

  • Here's my dad, he's going to toss me,

  • stop with the acronyms... CG also means computer graphics...

  • 5:42 Whats the second from the left holding? It looks like a rifle stock with something mounted on the front.

  • @RCcowBoy23 it's the camera

  • @flitetest can u even get it in us cuz it's not in the us warehouse!

  • you can use gopro with video out so no need for second camera

  • "30 minutes?? That's like half an hour!"

    No shit.

  • If I build the exact plane but carry 2 of those batteries for longer range, can I fly into the sky? Or is that not possible with this monster.

  • I have a question the go pro has video out why not just use it with the pan tilt

  • @heyhey1385 It was probably too heavy for the conventional micro-servo pan/tilt system. I've had a Gopro, they're quite weighty for their size.

  • can you use the go pro for live and recording at the same time?

  • wow you got the best family man

  • Is this a beginner plane?

  • How many sports can he list?

  • I'm curious about your camera and your transmitter/receiver. The camera is 900mhz which comes with its own tx and rx. The fatshark goggles are 5.8ghz and come with their own tx and rx. Which do you use? Can you plug the 900mhz camera into the 5.8 ghz transmitter? I'm a little confused. I'm looking to get started in FPV. Thanks so much!

  • @jetpilot810 I too was just about to post the same question. Please help us out! :D

  • This is outdated...the newest gopro firmware allows the use of the GoPro for recording AND a live video feed at the same time...so you can record and navigate with ONE camera(the gopro) So if you don't really care about pan/tilt(and it is not necessary due to the gopro's super wide angle lense(almost TOO wide...a 2.8 lense change is better IMO) just run the gpro to your vtx.

  • @shoegooguru GoPro isn't recommended for live vieing because of its lag time.

  • Josh seems pretty cool but JOSH is strange! :D:D:D

  • 6:43 :))))))))) is he now :))))))))

  • Why does the guy have a shotgun at 6:01?!

  • Hey um when is that motor gonna be in stock

  • Thanks for a total load of bullshit.

You know the hobbyking fpv plane flies like crap, you can't just tell everyone it flies amazing because hobbyking is paying you, make them make better stuff by doing honest reviews.

  • @TeamZer00 Not really. It really does fly good. Im sorry but your wrong.

  • @pensfaninstockholm sorta, because if you can point the pros and cons on the stuff from your sponsor then the company and the viewers/buyer will benifit because... (breathe)... the people viewing may want to buy it more or less, which urges the company to fix the problem and helps the company to find out what they can do to help fix a problem if there is one.

  • The motor used in this review is not available for sale any more, any other motor recommendations? And props too I guess. Looking for a slow fly setup.

this comment was posted earlier, hopping his does not get burried i re-posted it.

  • FPV planes can have a range of 6 km or even more, navigating your way around from the sky is more difficult then you expect, don't be naive!

  • study the land marks hahaha... asif people can get lost in the area where you live 20yrs.. cmon people weve had this guy at club flying fpv totally paniced asking everyone where ammm iii where amm iii keep an eye on it people.. and he was 500m away from the strip must be so dumb not to know where he is ... its so simple nobody has dropped u blind folded in other country and got to open ur eyes 2km in the air in uknown area. :)

  • The motor used in this review is not available for sale any more, any other motor recommendations? And props too I guess. Looking for a slow fly setup.

  • Whos the guy with the spectacles? His like never on screen

  • @lerlo I spoke too soon

  • Great video! 6:41...lol

  • 30 minutes? Thats like half an hour... LOL xD

  • Nice video guys but 30 minutes flying? No way! unless you drain your battery... I have exactly the same setup and fly aprox. 10-12 minutes!

  • Can you please do a review on the FPV gear you used? I noticed you had replied to another individual who made a similar request 4 months ago saying "it's coming". A LOT of guys wanna buy the HK FPV but they are a little hesitant since they haven't seen a review yet. Can you PLEASE do a review? Thanks

  • Hi Josh and Josh,

Thanks for this excellent quality vid.

... could you post a" review " type of video about the 5.8GHz Fatshark google, please?

I think so many people need help - to find the best fpv gear - for beginners...

    thanks !!!

    Richard.

  • while in Google Earth over your field you plan to fly in, if you go CTRL + ALT + A , it will take you to the Google Earth flight simulator in their program that is unadvertised, and you can actually do simulated FPV over anywhere you select in Google Earth. It will even work better if you plug in your simulator transmitter so you can have your joystick, instead of arrow keys.

  • Do 737 pilots get permission to fly over peoples houses? No XD

  • Make your self happy with bbw naneedj.info

  • How can I get sponsored by hobby king

  • Good Video...well done

  • Not really a review, but a fun video to watch.

  • First of all thank you for the review.

Could you tone down the background music a notch though? It makes it harder for us foreigners to understand you clearly at times.

  • How about a review of that amphibious ICON with FPV gear, I'm sure there are plenty out thee who would love this, I use a trex 600 heli as a cam ship & also a 50cc SU26.

  • nice but what will happen if your plane reach beyond the range of your wireless signals?

  • AWESOME video!! Please do more reviews like this. I'm buying one first thing next week!

  • thats Fredii behid camera ??

  • -30 min flying

-30 min ?? is like half an hour

this is just fuckin joke what a jerk , thay pay back american debet to china i think ! lol

  • boolshit this Lipo NANO are totaly crap !! another two brain wosher!!

  • what is the transmitter you are using (for controlling the plane, NOT the camera)?????

  • when are you gonna start selling that plane

  • @rizmanist They are allready :) Check describ...!

  • Nice plane and I love your reviews. FPV will be the end of RC flying as we have come to now and love it though. I know you guys are using it for fun but, some will not.

Watch the FPV New Youk City Youtube Video. You'll see what I mean.

  • @lkuczy ^^^^^^^^This

  • hey there!!

i just love your rewievs..... :)

but is that a 3S you are using......doesn´t it say 4S on the batt pack?

    Andreas Westerlund (Sweden)

  • sooo coool!

  • Comment removed

  • would this be ok for an absolute begginer? i have flown a 4ch heli before but never a plane thanks

    Ricky

  • @RiskyRix i would personally suggest going for a cessna... great for beginners....

  • I would like to share that you did not cover the fact that the wing incodence is way off on this model wich causes it to drag its tail like it has worms. Easy fix about 9mm up in the back of the wing or the same down on the front. Now it flys like a champ and will actually glide. You guys do a great job for the most part, but dont get to wraped up in trying to be on film, Do the job, I feel that you knew something was wrong in the first 10 secs. If not you need more practice. Thanks.

  • Thanks for the video. Good info... Just got my epp fpv in the mail. the box was busted up and the wing tips damages a little. There was also a few cracks to the CF boom. Nothing I can't repair but disappointed I have to take it to the hangar as soon as I got it.

  • Can you make a review of the FPV equipment ? Lots of us want to see it in detail.

  • @bibiricat It's coming.

  • Hi Flitetest, how and with what is build the protection for the GoPro ? I'm interresting to build that.

  • Is this fpv system from hobby king and should I get the one that you posted in the description

  • is it possible to actually use the GoPro cam instead of the other one?

  • can this plane reach the clouds

  • @1airhogs yes but only cirrus clouds at 60,000 feet.

  • you know that you can use the gopro as a fpv camera right?

if not there's a toturial at rctsetflight's channel

    by the way nice video:)

  • @flitetest you said you used a 40 AMP Plush from Turnigy but your link is to a TowerPro ???

    Whats up with that?

  • @donjuanzx9 Josh said the wrong thing... We used the one in the link.

  • Great videos - consistently excellent! Thanks for your time and passion in sharing what you love. You're definitely sparking interest with people that have *no* background so future "from the ground up" videos would be terrific.

    Thanks again!

  • i didnt relise how inexpensive this is. the only thing that cost a lot of money is the goggles, which u can go without, and the GoPro, which u can go without

  • Ive got this puppy sitting on my shelf and im eager to try it, but im a bit afraid of it due to a bad experience with my first "big" airplane a few weeks ago. Up untill now I was flying planes no bigger then 35" span, and the 55" piper cub I tried out two weeks ago scared the bajebees outta me. Do you have to wrangle this one through banked turns with a ton of rudder aswell, or does it just go with the flow? The cub has a full body and is a traction prop, so thing might be different on this one.

  • I too am very anxious to see a review on the camera/Tx gear. There is a lot of debate out there on what frequency is best, and what to worry about with general interference as well as airplane and video compatibility issues. I hope you cover all the bases. I'll be putting back some cash for that plane and camera system, or would 1.3mhx be better, or 2.4, or HAM band???? ugh.

    Keep up the good work,

    Tim

  • Very nice. - I just got into rc this summer. - Still learning to fly and having fun. - If it ever starts to get boring I'll spice things up with fpv :)

  • SILENT!! I'll kill You both or just give me those awesome t-shirt :)

  • Very nice review of the FPV system and EPP-CF FPV 1.8M Ultra-Strong R/C Plane

  • Good review guys. I am an FPV pilot and appreciate your videos. Keep up the good work.

  • nice vid, keep up guys

  • Nice review! Just thought I'd let you guys know theres a guy pointing a shotgun at you throughout the review ;)

  • @cruddiestcrudever

I think you will find he is the secoond camera man or boom op i know what you mean though :P

  • @cruddiestcrudever He shoots a lot... fortunately he hasn't killed anyone :O

  • @cruddiestcrudever Ha! That's a Hobby King representative making sure they don't say anything mean about the plane!

  • nice set up I dig it. keep us flying with you.

  • Great review! Josh's snarky comments are funny. For future flights in windy conditions I would recommend putting a gyro on the roll axis. The plane got batted around quit in some parts.

  • Excellent review, nice work on the AllThingsThatFly Podcast :-)

  • josh hey you did not get bk to me about the jacket...were can i get one\

  • what piece of hardware do i need so when i move my head with the goggles the FPV camera in the plane moves also? can some one send me a link to hobbyking telling me what i need or explain to me what is it that i need. sorry but im a newbie with all this FPV STUFF.

  • @carlocivicsi No problem friend! All the links for what we have are displayed in the info section of this video. Feel free to ask any questions you may have! Head tracking is comming with the Fatshark Teleporter version. I can't wait to get my hands on that. You can still use pan/tilt via your TX.

  • any chance we can have a look at what Josh (the noob) is watching in those goggles? I am curious about the quality of the actual video from the FPV camera. why didnt you even show us whats in the monitor?

  • @Fra42below We were reviewing the plane in this episode. We will have future episodes featuring the camera equipment and goggles. There is a lot of material to cover when it comes to FPV!

  • @flitetest

OK! looking forward to watch the next FPV episode then. oh and if by any chance you could 'inform' your friends there at HK about how much we european customers would like to see more planes stocked at the EURO warehouse....would be GLADLY appreciated, lol.

thanks for replying and great job guys!

  • Yeah this is one of the videos a lot of us have been waiting for but as you can read and no doubt will do is give us all as much info on FPV set-up as possible ;-) thumbs up.

  • TV quality video again :D i hope large channel such as discovery offer you guy a deal ( more people interesting in rc )

  • This is the way to go in RC for the future! Great program guys Keep up the good work! Darren from the UK

  • what patch antenna were you using?

  • Awesome video. Please keep doing FPV stuff it is so awesome

  • can you guys tell us what is it that we need to buy to make this possible and how to set it all up please.

i really wanna get into it but dont know much about what i need and how to set it up.

    thanks and nice VIDEOS.

  • @carlocivicsi There is a list of equipment in the video description. We will do more episodes in the future with more information.

  • @flitetest yeah i saw the list. but i have no idea how to set all this up. and what else i need to get on the air as soon as possible. thanks for replying.

  • where did you set the cg . the instructionhave 2 different numbers. please tell me what you set ti at please. thanks from randy

  • @randyneighbour we just went about 1/3 of the way back on the wing. I think the instructions are wrong.

  • Great review as always, Looks like a good platform for fpv seemed nice and smooth. I also will be looking forward to more on your fpv flying!!!!!

  • thats a great plane!!! lol josh pushed the unbreakable plane off the tv thingy..... really funny stuff !!!!

  • Were you using the Fat Shark Tx/Rx or the seperate 900MHZ?

Perhaps you could do an overview video on how you have all the FPV setup - TX, Rx, pan/tilt, wiring, etc. as a general intro to FPV newbies?

  • @schooner2000 We were not using the 5.8ghz reciever built into the Fat Shark Goggles. We had two 900mhz video RXs. One for the monitor and one for the goggles. We will definitely keep making FPV related videos. There is a lot to cover! The goggles are really great!

  • @flitetest Thanks. Looking forward to more on this topic.

  • Great review. What was the final cost as flown and setup in video? Are you powering the FPV off the single lipo or seperately?

  • @schooner2000 We always power the FPV equipment off a seperate battery to keep it clean. We used a Turnigy 500mha 3S.

  • Nice to hear y'all on ATTF!

  • @VerticalSpark101 Try to take off on a skateboard lol i bet thats helpful
