In general IT IS! It's only allowed when the car in front of you is far away. In a situation like when you're driving behind someone and want to overtake him it's definitely NOT ALLOWED! In the same situation it's not even allowed in many cases to use the left direction indicator.

yes, you are right.

it is allowed to flash (kurze Schall- oder Leuchtzeichen geben), if you want to overtake. if he drives silly at the left lane without overtaking, you ARE allowed to flash. (§5 Abs.5 StVO)

jup du hast recht. man darf außerorts durch hupen sein überholvorhaben ankündigen. und die lichthupe ist nun mal eine hupe. ABER: wenn du dicht auffährst und die lichthupe betätigst, ist das eindeutig nötigung! da muss man sehr aufpassen ;)

i drive everey day on the showen autobahn. if there is no traffic and good conditions ther is a speedlimit of 120 and in heavy rain there is none... i don't understand that it's stupid

Das beste ist eh das Schneewarnzeichen. Die Aussage zur Geschwindigkeit: "angepasst fahren". was ist den "angepasst"
