Nice set up try putting the magnet inside the box and have the port facing your rear trunk. That makes a difference. Have you tuned your box? Or adjusted your amp that setup you have should be banging pretty good. Im in the process of taking out my system and doing 2 cvr 15s in ported box. The one i have now the box is shitty and it rattles.

depending on your setup inverting the sub works. but each subwoofer has a recommended enclosure size. and a set port. or sealed. a trunk is not a well sealed enclosure. nore will it most likely be the perfect size for that sub. put it in normal. keep the box facing the way it is. i garuntee more bass.

Because the port size and port area has nothing to do with the size of the sub, it has to do with the cu ft of the enclosure.

try to find the possiable lowest OHM ur amp will go to and try and wire sub down a bit it will get more power but i have also heard that wiring ur subs down puts a risk ont he amp since its asking more from it and also in part formt aking mroe power from the amp..its taking power frome evrythign else. bu yea thats a nice ass sub big for a 12? is it a 15? but the box should be fine the port looks a lil small but it should work for now. turn it aroudn my man and try it out

@PaterBoy17 actually it's better reversed mounted(if you have the space) because your trunk doesn't rattle as much.you get the same sound the only thing you don't get is a nasty trunk rattling noise or at least not as bad as regular mounting.one time i saw a little honda with 2 12'' reversed mounted subs and it sounded clean.so if you have the space go with reverse mounting.but you were right about facing it to the trunk lid and the head unit.

hey if you run it in series meaning you hook up pos an neg up normal on one voice coil then you run a line from pos on coil already hooked up to neg on the other coil then run a line from neg already hooked up to pos on other coil an you can run more power an get better sound but make sure youf briged on amp unless mono block then it dont matter

Ok, here is a potential solution. IF you could somehow get the subwoofer motor into another box, you could then put the sub facing up towards the sky and the sub would sound great!!! I had the same problem and i had the motor back put into a box and man does it pound! Good Luck and i hope this helps.
