  • "I wanna be your backdoor man" lol Adam

  • 2:16 - 2:26 THE MOST AMAZING VOICE EVER.

  • oh God, RESPECT!

  • No one else is pissed that he said "Baby" instead of "Woman"?

  • @ShugarGod He sung 'woman' in the live AI performance. He's sung this song live about 100 times and occasionally depending on the audience will sing 'woman'. As a gay man the gender neutral 'baby' is more honest.

  • I love the version from Amsterdam (with hot kiss<3)

  • This is fucking awesome, and he sings it even better live. He sang it in Moscow, best live ever.

  • As someone who saw the real deal, this fucking rocks. Yeah he should do a whole rock album.

  • autotune just does not work on his voice.

  • His voice is just too good for autotune.

  • He should make a rock record, why not?

  • @MrLOlaglitter ...he doesn't want to. He's stated in a few interviews that Rock doesn't top the charts. His opinion, but I think his voice would be better suited for Rock.

  • What a boss. Almost as good as Plant

  • 61 deaf people came to the wrong place.

  • I pushed the "play" button not really expecting a superb cover as this is one of the most specific-to-render songs in music - but what was my surprise to find myself going delirious with delight listening to that! Freakin' awesome, you keep on rockin' it, Adam!

  • @1Meirian He's sung this song about 100 times live each time different. You might like to check out these; Gridlock (Terrapolism improvised), Foxwoods(tuke18), San Francisco 2(lambossessed)

  • @Mymelodyize

Thanks, will check them out! :)

  • I've got a stick up my ass when it comes to Led Zeppelin. This makes me wanna go make babies. xD

  • Obviously inferior to the original, but a solid effort. Nice.

  • Wow this is amazing!!! :D And I love Led Zeppelin, and most people can't do such great covers of Led Zeppelin!

  • Great version, i prefer the original but this is great too. Lambert do great covers, like We are the Champions of Queen

  • great cover :D

  • I LOVE HIM. SO MUCH.

  • Say this tho this doesent do justice to Adams range, his voice sounds lost in the mixing

  • @danilove Adam being vocally better then plant, doesent mean he's better. If u get past his sexuality u can't deny the mans legendary vocals

  • i kinda like the live version better

  • @dangdangBB me too

  • Yeah, he kicks...but please... not ass...

  • very nice

  • I will pick this version over Zeppelin any day of the week. I grew up listening to Zeppelin, and I always wished this song was a little heavier, and plant would runs in his upper register. Adam did not disappoint. In my personal opinion, Adam has a better voice than plant, and does this song justice in every way

  • the only complaint is that they didn't include the drum bridge. he did a good job but as epic as he did this song there should have been the drum fill. that would have really made this cover.

  • I was scared, but now I am very relieved!

  • Amazing!

  • Man I thought this would be HORRIBLE but it was pretty okay.

  • Amazing! Love Zep and Adam did an excellent job on the vocals as he is, a professional vocalist

  • Eargasm!!

  • Mr.Lambert is all about rockin the free world and he kicks ass doing it.....

  • this guy needs to be labrie's replacement on dream theater :P

  • Great voice, Great version ! his live version better yet.

  • i like this version. still, i think Plant's voice is more masculine and hard, rough, etc...more appropriate for the lyrics. jmho!! :0) but adam has an AMAZING voice, and his songs are really good.

  • His voice is good, his version is good, but it still can't compare with Led Zep.

  • Personally I think, Adams vocals are better than Robert P´s in this song. No offence, Robert P :-))

  • <3

  • I wish this lad would make some decent rock/metal music. His voice is fucking outstanding.

  • @VolumenTone if he was born in 80 s he would be rock/metal musican but.. :|

  • i love this song ( by him i never heard or the Led Zeppelin dude)

  • @MountionDrops You need to die.

  • @cebruzou FUCK OFF ASS HOLE I DONT KNOW WHO HE IS STFU I LOVE ADAM AND DONT GIVE A SHIT WHAT U THINK

  • @MountionDrops you dont know music than if you dont have any idea who led zeppelin is

  • @MountionDrops Zeppelin is not a dude dumbass

  • @N9678Q o sorry! i dont listen to that!! idk who that is!

  • jaja :)

  • драйвово спел! молодец!!!!!!! мне очень нравится!

  • I am a huge Zeppelin fan and Queen is my favourite is my favourite band ever; and Adam Lambert rocks!!! big time. His voice is just exquisite and gives Plant a right run for his money :p Imagine people if he performed with May, Taylor, JPJ, Page, and Plant! Wooooo!! Spot at 2:13 plantesque vocals :) It takes me alot to even consider what some people would just describe as "pop" I think Lambert has proven his abilities above that; I mean the range in a "change is gonna come" for example. rock on.

  • I personally think it's great that artists of this generation, Adam especially because he grew up with the old stuff, that they can cover songs like this. A lot of people bitch about how he killed a classic, blah blah blah. But think of it this way. If I never heard this cover I never would have youtubed the original Led Zepplin and fallen in love with it. Same thing with Muse, and Queen. If the old rock and roll stays old, it won't be re-discovered.

  • @RisingFlame18 I heard the original first and Queen songs first, but I honestly think this is amazing; Lambert is a rocker at heart! Adam Lambert is by far one of my fave singers, all people have to do is listen to more of his stuff and in case they are not convinced they should listen to him perform live, such an amazing voice!

  • @mercuryforeva I totally agree! Someone said on another video that he was too commercial and pop but I think Adam can do rock songs flawlessly. He is also one of my fave singers!!! I have heard of his live performances and he can really belt it out like no other.

  • @solarDeviant He really is amazing, in fact I am going to see him live next time he is touring here :p He can prove he can sing just about anything; with his own style integrated also!!! :) What a true star.

  • @mercuryforeva I know! If anything I love him live better than the album! It's so much more exciting and and his vocie is just so amazing.

  • WHATS UP WITH ALL THESE FREAKING LOSERS COVERING LED ZEPPELIN i mean this doesnt sound bad but it stole the essence of what led zeppelin and this song was led zeppelin was hard rock he took it and turned it into pop he just doesnt have the same feeling that robert gives to it, the raw feeling of honesty the pure rock and roll sound this generation lost that and traded it for commercial fame, music used to be the muscians master not the record companies and whatever seems to be in fashion

  • @SoothsayerXAngel Exactly! I agree so much, except that Led Zeppelin was the beginning of HEAVY METAL not Hard Rock. But really, what's with all the commercial bullshit!? I want the greats to come back!

  • @Littleboyblue93 yeah i know i mean back then they where considered heavy metal but people wuld start to bitch and say that led zeppelin isnt heavy metal, now a days it wuld be considered hard rock bt it is defenitaley the beggining of heavy metal

  • All comments regarding Plant's supposed 'inability' to have the same vocal range of Adam Lambert are completely ridiculous. Not stupid, just ignorant. Because these people have obviously not heard the live Led Zeppelin album How The West Was Won. Don't believe me? Then get it. And in the words of Jack Black, sit down. Shut up. And listen.

  • So awesome

unfortunately he did a pop album

hope his second album will be better

  • @MaGicSb3 it will be better for sure I mean he said that he will focus on vocals for the next album so it will probably be all about rock and slow songs...

  • @MaGicSb3 Yeah hopefully his second album is more rock. I actually thought he was going to come out with a rock album, but the pop one was actually good, IMO.

  • damn

  • i always thought the first line was "You need kool-aid, baby, I'm not foolin'"

  • I fkn love this. All of his different live versions of it are absolutely mind-blowing. Check out the soulful Fantasy Springs slow improvised version and lambosessed's improved Milwaukee and San Francisco vids of his live performances. Just amazing!

  • nobody can harness this tune like the creators, and Im sure Adam knows this, but I must say, for a new take on it, he did it justice for sure. everyone has an opinion boys and girls.

  • Oh no! Adam Lamber gayafied rock! Just kidding, I think he did a great job with this. He's bringin the old stuff back. THUMBS UP!!! FOR THE GREATER GOOD OF ROCK!!!

  • Amazing. Just amazing.

  • @panda123456789ed how dare you call me "just a pop fan who thinks he's cool". This is not an OPINION this is a FACT! He has at LEAST half an octave or more on Plant. Plant's tone is unique, but that doesn't make it better. Lambert can sing circles around Plant. He has more control over his voice than Plant ever had. I say this AS a Zepp fan. I love Plant and what he contributed to rock music. You sir are a rockist and need to get ur head out ur ass. DO NOT belittle me like that.

  • @Mistab784 And Im not Anti Gay. My biggest Idot Is Freddie Mercury. (Bisexual)

  • @Mistab784 Dude, what is WRONG with you???? Plant has greater range!!!! Adam's range: F#2-Bb5. Plant's range: C2-Bb5. That's one note short of 4 octaves!!!! That's friggin 3 notes lower than Adam's!!!!! Plus, Adam has a shitload of training, he doesn't smoke or do coke or whatever. Plant drank, smoked, coked, did all things harmful to his voice and He's STILL got bigger range. Sheesh. If Plant had the same training Adam had, he'd have even BIGGER a range.

  • @panda123456789ed Plant does not have a C2, and B♭5 is not yet confirmed as a part of his full voice range. Not to mention that C2-B♭5 would be TWO notes away from four octaves; not one. The fact still stands that Plant has the wider range, but don't go making stuff up just to make his range sound wider.

  • @Thetarantinomaniac Yeah, then C#2-Bb5.

  • @Thetarantinomaniac Yeah, then C#2-A5.

  • @Mistab784 And plus, Plant has a better tone. Ask any rock fan. Not an Adam fan. Or a Pop fan.

  • @panda123456789ed Coming from a music fan in general who honestly dislikes the piss out of Lambert's music, I think Lambert has the better tone.

  • @buddytyree Well, that's one thing we both agree with. His music is crap. His tone, that's subjective.

  • @buddytyree The thing is, Lambert has a good voice. It's his ideals, and meaningless, passionless voice that I disagree with.

  • @panda123456789ed U dont like his ideals? U mean u disagree w loving people, supporting charity, supporting other artists, being true to yourself, being polite in the face of rudeness, standing up for what u believe in, being non-violent, staying positive, being professional etc. Hmm Ok. As for 'passionless & meaningless' voice - have you actually heard this guy sing live? esp Sleepwalker/Soaked/TCB - did you even listen to this recording. More passion & meaning than you can poke a stick at.

  • @bobmarleyisgod1 Wait a minute. Now, Plant's range is C2-B5. One note short of a 4 octave. And If your talking about the C6 from Jowox's video, it's falsetto. Plant's highest is Prolly a B5. Just ONE damn note short of 4. Still bigger than mercury's range ;)

  • I'm a huge Led Zeppelin fan and I'm usually very very critical when people cover their songs but I simply cannot find anything to complain about in this one. I love it!

  • He has an amazing voice! Obviously this version can't compare to the original, but his voice is no where near as bad as some people are making him out to be!

He does this cover very well, and done an amazing sone the justice it derserves!

    Well done!

  • People, but ... it's obvious that Lambert has a great voice and good technique. But writing that his voice here is better than Plant (at his prime) is madness. Have you ever heard a recording of Led Zeppelin in early years (68-72)?

Rather than sing these high notes or those of the original studio version, Plant sang higher with ease and power irreverent.

  • @Scronz87 Absolutely. And many people are mistaken about Plant's range. They consider it small. It is Actually Bigger than Freddie Mercury's range. It's C2-B5. 1 Note short of 4 octaves.

  • justin bieber can hit high notes to! does that make him a good singer?

  • @coolgeraldchark Thats because his voice hasnt even broken yet lol, so he could naturally hit higher notes, its starting to now(his voice). And dont mention justin biber here.

  • So what if Robert Plant is a legend, this guy has a great voice!!! Led Zeppelin was great during the time, but give new people a break!

  • Led Zeppelin & Adam Lambert, very different from each other. Adam should get applause for those HIGH notes. But he can't say he is better than Led Zeppelin. He has a lot to prove. But I agree that, he has done justice to the great band !

  • Amazing voice!!!! what a range .. we got to be so proud that in this new generation we have talented artist like him. God bless you Adam & keep on rockin babe..

  • Dont like him for his outfit. But it dosn´t matter. This version rocks! Great! Like this version very mutch. Better than Led Zepplin!!! Wow, modern, kick as**.

Old school rock at it´s best...

    Greets from Germany

  • OK, let's all boo on Adam Lambert for letting the younger generation get acquaintanced with epic rock music like Led Zeppelin.... Puleaze! Adam did a very good job on this song! Both Lambert and Plant are extremely good singers, people are blind/deaf to think good singers only existed in the 20th century! Now I'm going to enjoy Lambert AND Led Zeppelins version :D

  • @deenigeechteannapipo Couldn't have said it better myself!

  • for you to say that Adam Lambert's voice its better than Robert Plant's its you because you either don't understand anything about music or you don't know the Led Zeppelin discography.. Just because he doesnt "oversings" whole lotta love, as lambert does, it doesnt mean he don't have a better voice, as you can listen in many, many other songs from zeppelin :)

  • Please people just listen to the bloody thing....

  • Maybe you're right although I havent heard it, but If I have to sum it up->Freddie Mercury. His full voice note is F5, but to me he's better than Plant (full voice is G#5) or Lambert (full voice in A#5) b/c he uses techniques (but he did hit E6 falsetto, and hit low F2 which mean he has >range), so all range do is make you more versatile (Mariah Carey rings a bell?). It's how you define "better" and with I'm out of here for real this time. I'm tired of wasting my time b/c they're all awesome.

  • @minijmin NO! NO!!!! Plant's full voiced highest note is an A5!! In this video: /watch?v=l8yiFHmnHS8!! And Probably a B5!!!! And his highest falsetto is D6!!!! And a Bb6 in HMMT in 1968! Plant's range: C2-B5 (D6 in falsetto)!

  • Comment removed

  • @bobmarleyisgod1 I think it's more of preference than ignorance. If I have to compare, Adam's shown incredible uses of head, chest, mixed vocal & IMO the better live vocalist b/c of his techniques but I think Plant's overall >engaging singer(effortless highs)/performer when his vocals was golden. Ur info b4's wrong (forgot that). Adam highest note's A#5(Bb5). Comfortable fullvoice range C3-A5. I did my research & Plant's highest falsetto Bb5. Lowest A2, not C2. They have almost same tenor range.

  • @minijmin Dude WTF man. Plant has hit a B5 in Full. And His highest Falsetto is D6. Lowest is C2. (Bit tricky, this one.)

  • Trust me when I say this, I'm not here to bash Adam. I hope he has a successful career and wish no harm to anyone. My life is not affected in anyway with who's better. I was simply stating my opinion...thats all.

  • @rollick3434 btw I agree Plant is a great singer, has a unique style of singing, but u need to stop degrading Adam just cause u think Plant is incomparable. He's no Roger Plant. Nor Freddie Mercury (which he's been compared to). But Zeppelin themselves nodded for Idols to make him do this song; first in 8 yrs of AI history. Just watch this live perf, skip 2:30. just that end note alone's not something anyone with no extensive vocal training could do: watch?v=1Ue6FhWONq8

  • We can argue about this for days but if you like singer who sings in key and has a plain jane voice, then Adam is your guy. But if you're into a creative singer who's unique and singing style is versatile, then roberts your guy.

  • @rollick3434 Your bias for Plant is obvious. I'm not comparing & I'm not arguing if Plant has a better range. I could compare him with Freddie Mercury but I don't. I'm just saying Adam is no 'plain jane'. Adam is a tenor (the naturally gifted vocal) and he could manage that high c & use both his head and chest voice. He's been praised by Industry ppl who KNOWS music and vocals for his singing so your point is invalid about him being a 'plain jane'. Go and seek a pro. My argument ends here.

  • There is no way this kid's got the range of Robert Plant! He's a good singer but not a great one. He lacks the vision, originality, delicacies, and voice strength of a Robert Plant in his prime. For god sake, Plants voice was pioneering the sound of rock and to this day, singers have tried to duplicate him...but cant. Sorry but adam sounds like another ordinary voice with the power of media pumping his name.

  • Comment removed

  • Adam lambert is f***in amazin, but listen to daniel heiman - lost horizon/heed, for power

  • @bobmarleyisgod1 does it matter who has a bigger range? It's what you do with the range. I think he did a pretty awesome job and his live performances of this song are pretty spot on in every venues, stages, lives he ever performed and Plant have way more live experience with doing rock music than Adam ever does or will do.

  • Dang... he actually did a pretty good job.

  • I want that hair :D

  • 55 people who disliked this would press Like button if the Title was "Led Zepelin"

  • god he is terrible this is disgrace to zeppelin

  • gay!!!!!!!!!!! pedał jebany niech spierdala

  • is it me but doesznt he look like joe jonas XD

but he is way betta 2000 times better :)

  • Ugh...just not the same without the bridge...best crescendo ever.

  • Adam Lambert is just a shallow copy of Sebastian Bach.

  • @Serpent669 you're retarded!!!!!!!!!

  • @guitarkid141 if they think that, they're allowed to. As a Zepp fan, I can honestly say, he IS better. Better tone and more range. If you're stuck in the past and think that no one can ever top rock music of that era (rockist), then you need to walk outside and realize there is a lot more to the world. For instance, were you aware, it's 2011...?

  • @Mistab784 Not more range. And Robert's tone is unique. You're just a pop fan who thinks he's cool.

  • @Mistab784 You are no true Zepp fan!!

  • You say Adam Lambert is the best singer you've ever heard?

Just listen to the original songs by Led Zeppelin, Robert Plant is 1000000000000 times better than than this pussy, even in his age!!!!!

  • @guitarkid141 Plant wrote the song. His voice is a template of how the song should be sang. But how is this NOT better than Plant??? I'm a big Zep fan, but come on, you gotta admit Adam's voice, range and tone is MUCH better than Plant's.

  • Comment removed

  • @JamesKendric

I'm doubting that you have ever heard the original

  • @guitarkid141 Then you need your ears checked bro.

  • @JamesKendric I agree, Plant is an amazing singer in his own right, but the range Plant has is made for what he did as an artist. Adam Lambert could probably sing the Oscar Meyer song and make it sound awesome.

  • @Theginger22790 lol bout the Oscar Meyer song and make it sound awesome. too funny thanks for the laugh!

  • @Theginger22790 Finally someone who agrees with logic :D . Aye, Plant is an amazing singer, but I was just stating to the fact Adam does have a wider range and more powerful tone. And which Oscar Meyer song?

  • @JamesKendric The Oscar Meyer weiner song you idiot

  • @TheJakeMantastic What oscar meyer weiner song you idiot

  • @JamesKendric Yeah Right. You are not a true zep fan. Robert's range is C2-B5 (D6 in falsetto, bloody higher than anything lambert has ever done). Lambert's voice and tone is better?? DUde, he has a pop friendly, commercialization pumped voice. Dude, Robert was a founder father of hard rock.

  • @panda123456789ed Actually, Rob's highest note is a Bb6. One entire octave higher than Adam's top out note.

  • @guitarkid141 Yeah, I'm sure if Plant saw your comment he would be really proud. Thanks for giving Zeppelin fans a good name. Sometimes Plant's voice was incredible (dazed and confused, immigrant song) but sometimes it was just damn puny (whole lotta love, queen cover of innuendo)

  • @antisadism Whole Lotta love is Puny???? LOL. You are joking. And he was sick in that Innuendo performance.

  • @guitarkid141 agreed

  • jizzed in my pantsssss!!!!!!!! i have to listen to this song with the door closed!!!haha

  • Oh, Lordy, sex now, please! :')

  • Let's see Lambert singing Helloween, Judas Priest, Queensryche or Scorpions. That'll give him a challenge ;)...

  • Amazing. I want his whole lotta love...

  • gaY

  • this pussy shouldn't sing such a masterpiece!!!!!

  • @guitarkid141 AMEN

  • DUDE. i love him. ♥

  • totally agree with the previous comment!!!!!!!!

adam lambert can really wail, even though i love led zepplin adams vocals are smoother and stronger, and im a looking forward to more from him.

quick note adam lambert can and have hit higher than a Bb6 with ease!!!!

  • @scarletlady27 Are you crazy??? Adam Lambert?? Hitting a note higher than Bb6 with EASE???? He bloody tops out at Bb5!!!!!!

  • People need to get of Robert Plants dick, yer he was a legend but because so many people say his better they just jump on his fan wagon. Its obvious Adam Lamberts voice is better, listen to Adam Lamberts feeling good cover. Plant propably couldnt hit the notes he hit on that song. People need to realise, ok its obvious Led Zeppelins versions better, they fucking composed it. But no one can deny that Adams vocals are better, you have to be deaf not to realise this.

  • @Phenomenon58 Its not about technicality, its about who puts more soul and feeling into it. Robert Plant had some much more of that than this guy

  • @RAVIS134 Yea i was gonna say that Robert Plant is a waay better performer but it was too late seen as i posted it. But you have to admit that Adams the better singer, but i was looking at whos better at singing. But if you take into account everything Robert wins. (But not in vocals :/)

  • @Phenomenon58 i respect your opinion, but, to me, being better technically doesn't mean being better in a broader sense... I prefer Plant's vocals to this song, because of the feeling he puts in the song, and I don't care if Adam can hit higher notes, or has a cleaner style... But his version is awesome too...

  • @vitor0692 Agree with you, i prefer Plants style of voice.

  • @Phenomenon58 Adam Fagbert sounds like shit, I can't even stand listening to him for 2 seconds.

  • @Phenomenon58 gosh such harsh language .

  • @Phenomenon58 Yes, Adam's voice might be better (in your book), so what? It takes more than a vocal chord to make a song good, let alone legendary the way Robert Plants did this song.

  • @Phenomenon58 THANK YOU somebody gets it, led zeppelin is amazing and robert plant is an amazing singer. But dude the talent that adam has theres jus no comparison.

  • @Phenomenon58 - I agree with your general point here (about the bandwagoning), but I disagree that you have to be deaf to think that Plant's vocals are better. Vocal performances aren't just about range. Plant is an incredibly expressive and musical vocalist. I personally like his phrasing and the emotional tone of his performance.

  • @Archaebob Yea i agree, Robert Plants my favourite singer of all time, but im saying dont hate Adam, his voice isnt shit.

  • @Phenomenon58

    Don't agree.

It's all in the matter of an opinion, and mine is that Robert Plant owns.

  • @Phenomenon58 Yeah, rite. A wannabe glam rock Freddie Mercury impersonator better than the Golden God? Where are you? In which world? On Venus?? Sheesh. YOU are the idiot ,Lambert fan. The cunt was brought by the commercialized, non-music caring X factor. You're comparing HIM to Robert Plant? Robert is a bloody god. Get a life.

    And Concerning range, Adam's range doesn't come close to Plant's range. Adam's range is a Pathetic Bb2-Bb5, 3 octaves. Robert's range: C2 - B5. 1 note short of 4 octaves.

  • @panda123456789ed I didnt ONCE say i was a lambert fan, Robert Plant is a rock god and his the better singer, Plant from 68 -75 was invincible. All im saying is can any of you critics do a better cover, this cover rocks but is nothing compared to the original. Plants voice is better than sex lol. All i said was that this cover isnt completely shit, there are worser covers.

  • @Phenomenon58 Yeah, ok.

  • He's got a great voice, and really good at classic rock. But main thing this song did for me was get off Adams cover videos and go listen to Zeppelin

  • No homo but he can make anything sound sexual

  • @jinjabreadboi i find it strange that you say that on a song that is definitely meant to be sexual.... if he can make "anything sound sexual" i would think youd be referring to his cover of like mad world or something. this masterpiece is one of the most straightforwardly sexual songs there is hahaha

  • @connorbucka I didn't ask if hge could make anything sound sexual I said HE CAN make anything sound sexual lol
