Am I the only one who thought that the Dead Space games were kind of like the first two Alien movies? I mean Dead Space 1 had the "loneliness" feeling to it, which kinda reminds me of Alien. But in DS2 there were a lot more characters and more action, just like Aliens. Does this make any sense?

The 2nd one definitely was better than the first, but only with high volume/headphones. Sound played a major role in Dead Space 2, it was a different approach that worked well for some (that play games with high volume) and not so well for the rest.

Many similarities to the "leviathan battle", probably intentional cause by itself one of the best original Dead Space tracks.

Must say didnt like this one as much as the first. I know its got better suits, better weapons and shit, awesome cutscenes with Nicole, etc. But it lacked some atmosphere the first one had; not so lonely and desolate, levels more linear, no map. And the ending felt a little rushed imo

this game was grueling, i loved every minute of it. it was filled with "HOLY SHIT!" moments and "oh fuck...i dont wanna go there..." ones as well. when you finished it, you felt like you just went through a meat grinder of hell. so, who else fired this bad boy up on hard mode the 1st time through? no other way to play any Dead Space game.
