you need to make your jav not point so high in the air it's def hitting a lot of wind resistance there put it at about 30 -35 degrees or maybe even less
you run with your hips open when they need to be closed until the throw. i had the same problem before the season and went from 140 pr my freshman year to 171 personal best in my sophomore year
@sjbhockey1325 you dont need to run with your hips closed, javelin throwers do that so they can activate and push their hip through at the right time, i threw 160 ft my freshmen year and 193 my sophmore by changing to running with my hips open
@spoonman142 In general you throw further with your hips closed, because of the extra energy you are able to put in your upper body and therefore in your javelin when you open up. There is a reason why every professional javelin thrower runs up closed ;) That you can throw 193feet opened up does no mean that you would have throw less with your hips closed, but if it's your preference, so be it
there is a lot of problems in your techniq first of all your arm needs to be up and straight right to your eyes..your steps doesnt make sense if you dont make straight than cross part then use a 3 steps but make them quick, othervise throwing doesnt make any sense!diesel-slow throwing make explosive in your running man!!Take care
