Let my try and wrap my head around this. Is the smart object pretty much a 'mini PSD' file within the main PSD file? So wouldn't having a smart object (or better yet having multiple smart objects) dramatically increase the file size of the PSD?

At the end of this tutorial can you tell me... what did you replace in the Smart Object (wine label) is the text still warped or did you just replace one smart object with another? I.E. was the whole smart object replaced or just part of it?

Really nicely done Gavin, just the right pitch of delivering the info at the right speed and not too much in one go. For some reason it comes across better than "American" but perhaps that's because I am English!

i have a big question,

i did a smart object, how can i save it??

i save but after i place in a new project i use the tool Lasso tool to select a part do delect and i click delete and says always :

Could not complete your request because the smart object is not directly editable"

Help me plz

Smart Objects are an often overlooked part of Photoshop, but they can be very useful indeed. Check out my reuseable wedding template video for a practical use of Smart Objects.
