I actually got the "Hat. Headband. Moustache" and the dog's "Backflip" in-game. so this video isn't entirely accurate.

The "Hat. Headband. Moustache" book can be bought very easily from the Murgo merchant stall in bowerstone, depending if you have DLC that is.

And the dog's "Backflip" was bought later on in the game, for me that is, from bowerstone market book shop, when it's economy was at five star's. It was random for me though, so keep at it... :-)

Just go to the pub game master in the bowerstone market inn. on him and go into the pub game then when you exit the items will just pop up on your screen. you don't have to play any games just quit out in the menu
