@refresh967 I personally test drove the Equus the other day, it's a beautiful car no doubt, but it's no LS600h or a S class mercedes.The Equus have great features, but the instrument pannel needs some improvements. It feels cheap compared to a LS600h. However, you cannot beat the Equus price, for what Hyundai is offering.

the guy who review this is a dumbass. 20 city and 22 highway? its not good if u compare it to a regular "V8" which is almost 100hp less than the 600h?. Ur getting HP from pretty much a v10 or v12 and gas of a V8. Is this guy retarded? all he do is review cars at least get the facts right. Regular LS are V8 and make much less HP than this 600H

It has an electronic trunk opening and closing, rear reclinging seats and an automatic advance parking guidance system.  The Lexus LS is one of the best luxury cars out there to date.

And the real buyer probably would be listening to lame-ass old music like that, on his super sound system. In my new IS, I listen to NOTHING, because the sound system is so "good" it hurts my ears, even with base and midrange turned down as far into the negative numbers as they will go. It's totally ghetto. Who wants to 'feel' the music. I'd rather keep my hearing.

Too bad the 600H has crappy mileage. That was my dream car.

Compared to Rolls, Bentley, and Maybach, it's not expensive. And Lexus reliability makes the car even less expensive, when you consider the impracticality of those huge engines the others have.

I'd imagine that the 600H will sell to people who are careful with their money. So mileage will be important. They will buy the car because they want safety, prestige, quiet, reliability and (relatively) low operating costs.

BTW, I'm up to 30.7 overall MPG on my IS250.

Yes. As long as it's audible at all, it sounds like there's some subhuman in the next lane with his boomcar 'thumpin'. There's one huge speaker behind the back seats that may be the problem. I think I'll have it disconnected and see if that helps.

there might be some settings to reduce the bass. i think too much thumping is because the subs are going boom boom too much!! just try tweakin some settings. you will be fine!! look for the equalizer settings and different sound modes.

Thanks! I'll go back into the settings to see if there's any option other than turning the base and midrange down to minus five (I've done that, already). Turning down base has worked with every rental car I've driven...even an '08 Cadillac STS (or whatever the acronym is).

But I suspect the giant speaker exists only to produce infrasonic range sound waves, and is not subject to the controls. Harmful effects of infrasonic are well-documented. Guess the Japanese see us all as stupid Yanks.

YOU GET V12 POWER from the car's V8 engine(430hp) and get V6 gas bills
