@Stitchmaniac2 Thank you! I did not have great parents either. In fact, I lived with my Mother off and on for about 8 years only. I've been a ward of the court, lived with family and never had a structured home. Have faith in yourself and be the parent/ person you want to be. You have the power to NOT be like your Mother. I would remind myself of that every morning when I was about 7 years old and lived by that mantra for years. Be the example and the difference in your life. :-)
your such a wonderful mother you are raising him like my mother does she would take time out of work to play with me and she would always play along with me :)
This.. is soo sweet :) I had this when i was young..but thing is..i was playing alone.. soo i had umm.. nobody to play with.. blehh wadever.. but before i got this play kitchen.. i was playing with plastic food and served my mummy like in McDonalds xD hehe ^^ Great times!! And your kid is soo cute and soo playful :)
This is so sweet. It's rare to see parents spend time with their kids now-a-days. They're too dependent on electronic toys instead of human interaction. Thumbs up for you :)
@eggyolksam Thank you! We try our best! We actually just elimated television and it has been the best thing we've done ever. Children will occupy themselves with play and we truly get to spend quality time with them. Best thing we have ever done! Weekends are the exception with morning cartoons/ movies. But truly a blessing!
Hi! My daughter loves play kitchens and likes to watch You Tube videos with kids playing with them (when she's not playing with her own kitchen here). She found this video and watches it A LOT! (She goes into the history to find it, lol) She's 3 and a half. I get a kick out of this video when you say "Mustard in my coffee, that's just delicious!" LOL So cute. I had no idea your son was autistic at all; he seems to be doing very well here. Great to see boys cooking, too!
@sergemodee : my Daughter who is now 3 1/2 watches it all the time too! She loves It! I'm so happy your Daughter enjoys watching it. It always brings back so much memories for us. Yes, he is now considered high functioning autistic. I say, just quirky! He is doing fantastic and finally mainstreamed this year, first grade. I can only hope he we continues to prosper as he gets older. thank you!
@TheWiiboy222 : LOL, you are correct. At that age, he HATED wearing clothes at all. It was once a struggle to get him to even wear a long sleeve shirt.
@cuchuflies1 : I got it off Craigslist! My Sons SDC school had one in their therapy room and I LOVED it! Its called Country Kitchen by Fisher Price. No longer available! :(
@WildCherry7777 : H'es Autistic! If you were educated enough, you would know that I am talking to him appropriately. BTW, you shouldn't let your kids watch Youtube without adult supervision. You never know what material they may come across that's not appropriate. Although may child(ren) may not be as perfect as yours or my voice not as appealing, I do appreciate and love them for who they are. Its a shame to have such narrow minded people in this world.
I am educated properly, I went to Kings College at Cambridge which I can prove. What's your education? The fact you can't conjugate a sentence, use proper grammar or puncuation speaks for itself. I'll show this video to a few select people who I know that work with children who have autism and see if they feel the same way I do listening to you talk to your son.
@WildCherry7777 : Thats great! Clearly you do not understand ABA Therapy or why we (therapist, family, etc.) had to speak to him this way. To be specifically clear and direct while making references to the objective is part of the method. You can be educated and completely oblivious at the same time. Its what you do with that education that matters. However, morals, values and living your life in a positively demonstrative way has more impact. Wouldn't you say?
i was like you. unitill i took some age in the knee

Wow... I wish I had a mother like you tbh. In my 21 years of life my mom has only told me that she has hated me, wished I was never concieved, etc etc
I'm sorry to hear that he is autistic, but I am also happy to see he has someone as loving as you to take care of him :)

@WildCherry7777 Quit judging how other people bring up their kids and focus on your own family. It's not your place to say anything.
