  • seuga said it all. I have many cds from vibe players, but his 2 mallet approach is outstanding. Any of his cds are great, as well as ones he has been on. A great man and player.

  • hutch is 'the man' on vibes. listen to his bluenote albums-they're fantastic. and herb is never too far away. young players from the 60s always knock me out man.loved his work with eric dolphy.hard to find.

    Hey thanks for the correction! I was so excited that I couldn't remember the correct word for what all the guys at the time called "Vibres."

    But It had been a reminder also that in most of the Black jazz clubs I visited from NY,Wilmington, Del, Baltimore, Shinjiku when they played vibraphonists for me it was a glorious moment.
