This will always be me and my daddy's song no matter how far away he lives! Now that i only get to see him once a year (it makes me cry just thinking about it) we are getting farther apart. It hurts me that we nly talk once every 2 weeks, but i will always live him as if he were standing right next to me. Luv ya daddy!

when i listen to this song i think of my mom.. i know it's kinda strange but growing up my dad told me how much he hated me everyday, while my mom has been there through thick and thin..she is what keeps me going everyday and i listen to this song wishing that my dad cared, and knowing how great full i am to have such a strong mom...even if i don't have a dad in my life i have someone who loves me just as much as this beautiful song states <3

i miss my daddy so much, i would give anything to have him back with me. i was my daddys little girl, and i lost him when i was 12, i am now 14 and my life has went horrible since he left. i loved him so much, i would give my life just to have him alive at least for one more day on this earth. he passed away thinking i hated him, i wish he would have listened to me when i said i didn't because everytime i think about it, it's tears me down... Im 13 now. I was born in Iceland but I live in California with my mom and my step dad and my little sister comes every other year. My parents had me at a young age, my mom was 16 and my dad was 18 or 19. My dad wasn't really around.. they fought a lot.. when I moved to California, age 5, My dad had called me 4 times in 5 years. When I finally got to go to Iceland with my mom to see my dad again, i didnt even know what he looked like, now we are.. semi-close. I love him so much.

When I'm out of the house in 3 years, and I look back on the years when I was little and my dad was always there, this songs gonna come back to me. Hope my dad sings this for me sometime when I'm on my own. I will miss being home with my family but I know their awlays gonna be there when times get hard. I love my family even though they drive me crazy sometimes.

my aunt i guess husband died 7 years ago he was my daddy to like my cuzzins he used to sing this song to me when i was 2 i still rememeber him perfectly im 12 now but he died of cancer he let me shave his head he laughed when i said do u have bugs in ur hair he chuckeld and said i wish i didnt no it but at his funeral i took all the balloons and said here daddy and they flew far. my cousins dautr gave him his "cigerretts'' to days aftr he passd she went in the couch to get them
