Casting on at the beginning or end of a row

excellent video..thank you..im an advanced newbie and now i just have all these questions since the patterns im trying are a bit more challenging. now i know how to cast on at the beginning or end of a row and pick up and knit when making a border along the blanket sides..thanks bunches
