  • What metal detector do you use?

  • Great info thanks!

  • Hehe, I bet those Sacagawea dollers are more rare silver halves.

  • Sweet spot and digs! Keep 'em coming.

  • very nice

  • Great video, very interesting my new friend.

  • Thanks for the Garrett Pin Pointer tip, that will come in handy!

  • Thanks for the video!!!!!!! HH

  • Love your videos.

  • Another good hunt bud. Glad to see you are getting out. I am surprised that you arent pulling indians and barbers out of that park. Maybe GOIO got them all. LOL. I bet if they were to clean around those trees where I found the 24 SLQ it would be a bonanza and I would probably have to come up and do some pirating. TMAN...

  • Thats a great hunt Dave, No. 1 attribute: persistance, keep goin' back and the goodies keep coming up. Best wishes and very best of luck on your next hunt.

  • congrats on your finds and great tip on the pionter.will try that today..HH

  • Can you tape that coin on the propointer permanently, or does that spot you put it change?

    Thanks

  • Hello Gatlun , I usualy wear gloves, and put a memorial in the index finger of my glove so I can use it when needed for more depth on my pinpointer..Answering your question...Yes you could tape a coin to your Propointer...Just make sure you move it back to where the propointer stops chirping or making any noise...Tape it there for added depth..Thank you for your comment & question...Dave

  • We love your videos Dave!!!

Good hunting lots of silver and by the way thanks for the tip about the pro-pointer!!!

    HH & God bless

  • Nice finds! Loved the hunt! Too bad I am to en-golfed in other stuff to even hunt. Plus spots in Washington State are not only slim pickings, but you must travel a long way to even get a wheat penny. I still have fun when i do go out, but I don't think its a hobby that I would do everyday anymore. I still am a coin collector and forever will buy coins and collect them :) Keep on hunting! Your videos entertain me because I sometimes imagine myself finding what your finding :)

  • Nice Hunt! What do you do to clean your wheaties?

  • Another great video and as usual the silver is streaming your way... I borrowed the garetth probe a couple of days and I really like i t too,.,. its on my wish list! Hope all is well buddy and happy hunting!!

  • Congrats on the silver Dave, you almost beat me for the year in one hunt lol. Thanks for the tip on the pro pointer. Im going to try that. Wonder if you taped a dime on there and left it it would work well?

  • Good job

  • Great vid dave

  • Nice finds, including the trade token and the religious medallion. The Mercury dime is good too.

  • Ahhh, Fresh plow. any non metal surface finds?

Congrats on the 7 silver coin, token & religious medal find

    thanks for the tips

    HH

  • Thanks for watching Dave

  • What is a wheatie, a penny?

  • @elucidative ....It is a US cent with President Lincolns Face on the Obverse,and wheat on the reverse...Made 1909-1958...Then in 1959 the reverse was changed to a building...We call those memorials ..Made 1959- present...Our 10 cent ,25 cent 50 cent,and dollar coins were made of silver up to 1965 when they changed to nickle...Thus the saying (Where there are wheats there are silver coins at the site & same depth)....{{Long Version}}

  • @AmericanCoinHunting Oh, Thanks for the hip on that.

  • great hunt congrats on all the silver hope ya had a great weekend HH

  • Thanks firefighter2542005 ...It rained 2 out of 3 days,and today I stayed inside...It was in the 90's ...L.O.L.

  • Congratulations Dave on a Great hunt, A Big Thumbs Up on the 7 silver day ! Nice video.

  • Thank you for looking in Dave

  • Nice hunting !!

They say save the best for last so I watched your video last !!

Not only dose the Sterling Silver pendant count as silver... Its a better silver find than a mercury dime. Not only a finer silver, if they are old then very collectible and possibly valuable.

Keep @ it and HH !!

  • Thank you MUDSWAT

  • Thumbs up, Dave. Glad to see you out. Been a tough year for me so far. Haven't been out much but hope to soon. That park where they scraped the top soil is a great site. Really paid off for you. Congrats on all that silver.

  • Great hunt Dave, you did good. Good luck for next time.

  • Great Vid ACH! I've been keeping my eyes open for ground being moved around near home here because of you! Thanks for posting and HH!!

  • Dang, I'll have to try that Dave with the pointer. You found a lot of silver as always congrats. I found another gold ring yesterday. I'll ad to the video though before I post it.

  • Nice one Dave... Congrats on the silver.

  • What type of detector is that? what are the different possible types, advantages and functionality? Curious about the hobby but have no clue where to start..

  • Nice finds Dave! I haven't found a silver in about a week but a found a buffalo and v nickel the other day. Hopefully the silver isn't far behind.

  • man o man the alcohol works well.

  • When I got them home..I cleaned the silvers with a water/baking soda paste...MrYouKnowWho1975

  • Hey Mr. Silver,

That trick with the pro pointer, Do you have to repeatedly do that and hold the coin there or does it stay like that while its on? Great video again, HH

  • @leafster99 ...As long as you have the coin in the same spot...You can turn it on & off & acieve the same depth...I suppose you could tape the coin in position..But I only use that trick when I've widdened the hole out & still can't find the target.

  • Great hunt, and I love your videos, but it's time to clean your camera lens.

  • @reddcent59 ...Yes ,I noticed that too

  • Ver cool video! They are redoing a local park in my area. I went one time already and the dirt was so packed I could not dig! I think I'll go back again after we get some rain.

    HH!

  • Nice haul again Dave! Also more great info! You really clean up those parks from all that silver litter! The worse thing about the pistolprobe is,it is like toting around a rifle. The butt end should be re modified.Always appreciate the tips in your videos!

  • good job on those finds and how did you figure out that trick with the pinpointer???

  • @1LASTCITIZEN ...I can not take credit for the discovery...I seen it somewhere here on youtube, then remembered it when I was holding the Pro-pointer in my left hand & my wedding band made it go off

  • FYI... I'm in San Francisco Bayarea.

  • @Admirer4U510 .....I seldom hunt private property...So you should ask someone else that does...Parks & School yards ?...City & town ordinances change from city to city...Then it is a good idea to check town & city ordinances online ,or with thier Police dept...You live over 2,000 miles away..You will have to look for a metal detecting club in your area ,or someone that makes videos,or hunts in your area..Sorry, I have my hands full finding places legal to dig here.

  • I am very interested in metal detecting but feel unsure about digging in parks, school yards etc. Could you do a couple videos about where your allowed to dig and/or how you get permission when on private property.

  • Congrats Dave, your videos are always so inspiring and informative. I always learn some new trick on how to find a good location or how to better use my e-trac. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and HH. Dave.

  • Thank you Dave

  • I enjoy your hunts, albeit from the comfort of my couch........

  • (I hope you have stopped smoking.) What do you do with all your silver coins? do you take them and sell them or do you collect? What metal detector do you recommend for beginner?

  • As long as I can afford to.I will keep the coins I have found..If you want to spend 15-20 hours a week looking for a few silver coins.&.If you are serious..I suggest you shop for a new detector between $400-$700 .. The real cheap ones (Under $150..will just bore you in a few months, and those $150-$399 ,,will not give you enough tools or depth..Top names are Fisher,Garrett,White's.Your Choice. If you are not willing to make that kind of commitment..Take that money & buy silver bullion.._Plum369

  • @AmericanCoinHunting But you are using a e-trac made by mine lab, no?

  • @chicagomixologist ...Yes sir...The Minelab E-Trac

  • Great hunt those silvers are really worth the trip.

  • very nice find =]
